Cheddar Launderette (Dry cleaners and ironing, no washing machines)

Not a launderette, dry cleaners, they need to change the name. I was in Cheddar camping, googled launderette near me, drove to the location, it was a dry cleaners, useless place.

They are rubbish, took my duvet in to be cleaned the burnt it and ruined it. At first they did not admit it and tried to fob me off with someone else’s duvet only after repeateded requests did they refund what I paid for the service wash. Very poor service.

I figured it was worth sharing my experience as most of the reviews are either old or angry about the (admittedly misleading) name and vague opening hours.We were reluctant to use them for a while because of the reviews but actually they were pretty good.We gave the lady in there 2 large IKEA bags of ironing. They were turned around really quickly within a couple of days. The ironing was done to a decent standard and it cost about £40.We’d worried a bit on drop off as the staff clearly smoke but thankfully everything smelt as good as it did when we dropped it off (freshly washed).Only real criticism is that it’s cash only. Still, they did what they said for the money and to a good standard so I’ll let that slide.
