Genuinely really enjoyed our stay, you will see some grumpy reviews but you have to be aware of what it is, prince of Wales gets loud and is busy but this is a fantastic location for a quick finish to the evening when you are out late not requiring a cabthe price was very fair and included everything we needed, heater in the room was stunning as was the shower and the views were amazing from the windows

When I stayed I was not aware the rooms were directly above a noisy nightclub. Be careful when booking as you will not get a wink of sleep if you stay over the weekend.

I needed a place to stay as I was attending a film convention in Great Yarmouth. I didn't go to a hotel in Great Yarmouth because Norwich is easier to get to from London.Also, I was looking for a hotel, not that far from the train station and not that expensive. The Hotel Belmonte ticked all the boxes that I needed as I was only staying 2 nights.If you're on a tight budget and you don't need a lot of services that you would get from a normal hotel, don't knock this one. It has character.So well done, guys and gals. You should be proud of yourselves.

Needed somewhere to stay as we were going to the gin & rum festival, and this place was only a few minutes walk away. Room was nice, host was friendly and wasn't too disturbed given its above a nightclub. Only one minor issue and that was one of the cups looked full of dust and there was only one tea bag. Not the end of the world, everything else was fine and we would definitely stay again. View of the cathedral from our room was an added bonus!

Booked for me by my work, I always give 5 stars:Great city centre location with loads of takeaways, bars and shops on the doorstep. Superficially clean but a bit icky on closer inspection. Cheap and cheerful.Important context: My experience was a 1 night stay and does not represent this establishment in it's entirety. No-one in hospitality sets out to provide a poor experience. Anyone can have an off day.

Very spacious rooms and in a central location for night life... So if you are a light sleeper avoidThe friendly staff offered us a very large double room to the front of property. Although, The shower was just a drip and not worth using. It was clean and had everything you need for a nights stay.. However...Prince of Wales street is full of clubs, drunks and speeding cars. So loud, the hotel windows can shield you from the constant noise throughout the night, and we where there midweek. So avoid this area for a quiet night, not the fault of the hotel - just pick you area carefully.

Tried calling hours before check in no answer arrived and no one there to check us in every number provided had no answer, as we had no where to go tried again later and finally found the manager at the bar below who after a while found our room. Stairway up to our room stunk of urine. No lock on bathroom and bathroom door would not stay shut, room was very cold. Although location was perfect for a night out just caused way too much stress

Nice little hotel for a cheap stay in Norwich but rather noisy at the weekend. I thought I was prepared and took earplugs but they didn't help

Amazing stay. New and modern hotel. Beautiful view. great underground parking. Rooms large, clean. Staff hard working. Everybody was nice, helpful, kind, attentive to your needs like all polish people. Just amazing, relaxing stay.Loved the pool, jets.Kids and pets friendlyFood was so yummyif anybody complaints about getting there going uphill - stay at home or visit Krakow - it is flat- this is in the mountains.

too small rooms and not clean rooms. Too old style and no fridge. You feel the spring of the mattress which is not convenient. Also, stairs are not too narrow. However, their employer named Haji was really kind and very helpful. For him I would rate 5 starts but the hotel zero stars but at least gives one.
