Expensive hourly charge. £49.50. Had to leave a deposit on a saw that still worth a lot more. £7 part cost me nearly £77 with vat. Worked for a few hours bolts fall off. Order parts and they take ages to arrive. Don’t have simple bolts in stock. Not very good.

What a lovely bunch of lads who helped me get directions, I was totally lost and if they put that much help into fixing stuff as helping people, they all need a medal xxxxxx

Called to check price and stock on a Stihl petrol hedge trimmer today - was very competitive against online deals, and ready to collect.When I arrived they unboxed it for me, and once I’d purchased they got it up & running, and gave me a full explanation of how to use & maintain it, along with how the warranty covered me.I would recommend them without reservation.

Don't go anywhere else for repairs or spares for your garden machinery. They are knowledgeable, friendly and super-efficient, and I really recommend that you use them to service your machinery regularly. It's worth it (although book in at sensible times, like Winter, to avoid the queues). Prices for spares will beat online prices, so look up what you need online and go to Andover Garden Machinery to check that the part is right, and get it from them. We've been using them for nearly 30 years.

7 weeks wait for ServiceNo CommunicationExtortionate labour chargesPoor customer service regarding warranty issuesPurchased a 1636H Mountfield Ride on Mower in Aug 2020 (£2500). Came with a 2 year warranty. Used approx 30 times over period (Aug 20 - current day). The battery failed to hold charge from about the 6th month period and needed jump starting every week.Thought we’d raise the issue during our 1st service with Andover Garden Machinery in Feb 22.They agreed that the battery needed replacing and also a pulley and a bearing. TotalCost of the service bill is £ 390.49.Breakdown of costs as follows:Labour charge £252.00Consumables abs Fuel £10.00Spark plug £4.00Oil £7.75Air filter £21.54Pulley £17.64Bearing £13.36Battery £60.00Total: £386.29Then a delivery charge for collection and delivery.Spoke to Andover Garden Machinery who asked Mountfield if they would replace the battery under warranty. Informed that it’s only covered for 1 year. Also pulley not covered as considered wear and tear.Appears the warranty is worthless especially given the cost of the mower. You’d think that given we waited 7 weeks for our mower to be serviced that the dealership would consider covering the cost of parts especially with such high labour cost.100% will not deal with either company again.The same review will be left for Mountfield.

A further review.........We took our mower back to Andover Machinery after another phone conversation. I would just like to say staff and management have been super helpful. Although they had our mower for some weeks, we collected it today, have cut our grass and so far the mower seems to be behaving and running ok.For this reason I've amended my stars from 1 to 4.Would recommend Andover Machinery Ltd.Took a 1 yr old Honda petrol mower (£1,100. New) for service. Told me I had hit something with it needed a crankshaft and other various seals, oil etc. I argued I had not run anything over. Wouldn't repair on the warranty. Eventually got my mower back the casing looks like it's been dragged along a wall on both sides, it's filthy dirty covered in grass mud etc. Manager said you should expect to get a scratch or two whilst in for repair"!!! Won't ever use this company again. Customer service is shocking !!!"

I can thoroughly recommend a visit here before buying garden tools/machinery . The level of service and knowledgeable staff make it our first port of call. Not the cheapest but most definately the best.
