Don’t bother- Completely unprofessional service. Simple brake fluid service- failed to even update the service status in the car, told me I had to bring the car back in again when they’d had it from 8am-5pm (dropped it in at 8am) Gave me a service confirmation document with the completely incorrect mileage on it and oh the ‘complimentary’ health check video link didn’t even work. I raised a complaint and no one even bothered to call me back.

Located on Kennet Island this is a large spacious BMW/Mini joint dealership. Not much stock on display from what I could see. Multi floor dealership which is quite funky. Staff seem okay. Parts department were good with a very friendly and helpful member of staff. Would I buy a BMW - maybe. Worked for them for 5 years as an apprentice. Cars are good. MPower way too expensive to run unfortunately. Can’t fault the dealership though. Limited experience here but was good.

Regularly get my car serviced here because it’s the nearest.Have a jammed driver’s window which doesn’t close properly, so it’s urgent. Was in the process of having to hire a car because Inchcape Reading cannot fit me in until 11th January 2024. Tried Sytner in Sunningdale and they have booked me in for next week. They were much more reassuring, switched on and customer friendly too, and didn’t just read from a script.

I have used BMW Reading on two occasions and have been disappointed both times.The showroom is very bright and airy, with a nice seating area to enjoy the coffee on offer. The staff are very polite and helpful, too. My car has been cleaned when having work completed. On my first visit, the technician left the plastic seat covers and protectors for the gear stick and hand brake. I had expected better attention to detail than this.The service department overpromised on the time frame to complete the work following a vehicle recall. On both visits to Reading BMW, my car was not ready at the agreed time and had to be collected the next day. The second occasion, I received a telephone call from BMW Reading at 2:30pm to inform me that my car would be ready to collect at 5pm. I therefore made the 90 minute journey on public transport to collect the car. At 5pm, as I walked through the doors of BMW Reading excited to collect my car and continue with my evening plans, my phone was ringing... it was the service department to tell me that my car would now not be ready until the next day - a frustrating waste of a journey and 90 minutes, which then had to be repeated on the way home and then again in the morning. I was offered no courtesy car or support making this journey, despite informing staff that I do not live in Reading. The lady was, however, apologetic.Will I use the garage again? Probably not, I will now look for an independent specialist who can offer the reliable service I require.

A huge thank you to Natalie Bartlett in Sales. Natalie was absolutely amazing in helping both my husband and I find our next car, she listened to everything we wanted and found us exactly what we were looking for! Natalie kept us fully updated throughout the whole process, was always on hand to answer any questions we had, and even on handover day she spent the time with us to make sure we were all set and happy with everything. Absolutely shocking. In 2022 I had my car serviced there. They hit something with the driver door and the paint got damaged. When I pointed it out, they agreed to fix it, but it cost me two taxis and time. It is 2023 and I had my MOT with them again and guess what?! They damaged the paint on the door again!

Despite being a customer of theirs for the past 16 years, I have this week been in receipt of what I can only describe as shoddy, careless and unprofessional service. My car needs a repair under warranty, but they wouldn't arrange a courtesy car for me because the part was on worldwide back order (a tacit admission that BMW are having to replace lots of them). I queried this with BMW UK, who say I am entitled to a courtesy car. To cut a long story short, after further arguing and their trying to wriggle out of it, a courtesy car is being arranged. After receiving incredibly poor service from another BMW dealership, I phoned Inchcape, Reading as I’d bought my car from them 3 years ago. From start to finish, the customer service was incredible. Professional, friendly, funny and knew their stuff. They listened, took note of what I was asking for, and provided a quality experience that made it easy to purchase a new car. In less than 24 hours, I have a brand new series 2 sitting in my driveway. The culture at Inchcape is different; everyone is just nice and not just to the customers. To each other, which shows it’s not just a pantomime for the customers. So, the big shout outs go to Yasmin, for hands down the best sales experience I’ve received in 20 years of buying cars, to Jake for the number manipulation (not to mention the ego-boosting compliments), and to Steve who also played his part. I should really stop writing now because it’s turning into a gush… but honestly, go buy your car here. I’m not even going to get my car serviced at the dealership (literally) across the road from me anymore. I’ll be back with Inchcape for sure.

I have always wanted a BMW from a young age. It was now or never so I took the plunge and went to the Inchcape/Reading BMW dealership to look for my used vehicle. Daniel Markham was the salesman and I couldn't have been in better hands. Helpful, polite, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. No hard sale, not pushy. Gave me the information I needed. Picked up my car last week. Really happy with the car and the service received from Daniel. Thank you.
