Stay away from this so called professional he had my mtd lawnflite ride on for 7 weeks to do a full service he told me he had sharpened and balanced the blade which is still full of notches , I told him to have a look at the grass deflector plate he said there was nothing wrong underneath but previously I had to pull off a rotten piece of metal off so if he had sharpened the blade like he said how could you miss that , after he had it for 7 weeks I had to go and tell him to bring it back I started mowing with it and after 30 minutes it wouldn't start and that's after a so called full service, my mower is now in worse condition now than when I took it never again rude nasty man all I can see that he as done is change the oil and filter and all that for the pricey sum of £187 PLEASE STAY AWAY. He will probably post back asking me what job no is that.

Deserves no stars! Avoid at all cost! Worst company I have ever dealt with. Took 3 weeks and no communication. Didn't fix the item but still wanted money. Then he went on to put the price up after an agreed price. AWFUL place and very unprofessional . Am disgusted how they treat my father! Abusive in manner and approach

Had my Mountfield for a month, sorry to say this, but I eventually had to ask for my mower back, got it back and it was worse than when it went, as soon as it hits grass it stops and it chugs like a pig with a lung missing, was charged a lot of money and I am very disappointed. I would not ring to complain, as I am sure it would be, well we did everything we said. Just another example of how standards are falling, my advice is give it a wide berth.

Avoid this man. I left a few machines in to him over a period of two years. It was always hard to get him on the phone. Sometimes seemed normal but other times very bad mannered.On the last occasion, I having already phoned and visited the Briggs and Son premises numerous times to inquire about my machine, and even after a few months, he eventually could not find my machine and tried to pawn me off with some other machine which was not even working. He had previously also suggested this option over the phone.So he lost my machine and he rudely and angrily ordered me to leave the premises when I complained. So I left the Briggs and Son premises minus my machine.He also said to me that the job card that I had was registered to someone else, in fact a female, so that it could not even be my job card and that I must have picked it up from the ground somewhere.This man is well able to lose his temper when discussion is not going his way, both on the phone and at his premises. Other people at the premises, who appeared to be working there sometimes, were pleasant and obviously did not approve of his way of doing things. But what could they do.In future I will be using other machine service engineers.

Took my Sovereign petrol strimmer as the fuel pipes needed replacing. Also the bubble button had a hole.Got it back repaired in excellent condition and got charged £20 which is cheapWill definitely go back

Bought a mower off him, not managed to cut one lawn with it yet, and I’ve had it over a year now. It’s going into another shop soon. When I said to them where I got it from they laughed and was not surprised. When I looked into the mower it had wrong belt on, parts that needed replacing and a number of bolts that hadn’t even been tightened up properly. He told me it was fully serviced and ready for work. What a joke. I payed a lot of money for it as well.

He was nice when I spoke with him over the phone and even when I dropped my lawn mower.About 1 month later, received a call confirming the lawnmower was fixed. Collected the lawnmower, very disappointingly, it doesn't work and having the same issue. Rung him to advise about the issues. This time he indirectly alleging me lying and said this was not the issue I told him on the day I dropped it... He then very rudely put the phone down on my face before I finished...Wasted money, wasted time..... Can't believe people can be like this now a days....

My Mountfield Petrol Mower developed a problem and they recommended that I take it to Mr Briggs. Very knowledgeable and approachable. Polite and most of all excellent service.. It was mended in a jiffy and no charge as under guarantee. Can highly recommend

Absolute waste of money. My strimmer worked perfectly but developed a petrol leak they replaced pipes and it has not run since. Definitely won’t use them again
