Very friendly staff, very good food, and you get what you pay for, it's not cheap, but like 5 star food, yum.

Ordered through a app so cannot comment on service or atmosphere.What a waste of money !!!Disappointed is an understatement we ordered the garlic chicken baguette. Very dry I had to add salad cream to make it palatable.We also ordered the brie and bacon baguette the bacon was ever so salty.Will not be rushing back there in a hurry !

As a previous frequent visitor to André's Restaurant across various locations, I was always captivated by the exceptional culinary experience they provided. The flavours and presentation in every dish were remarkable. I must say, the culinary experience was phenomenal.However, I am compelled to address some concerns regarding the hygiene practices observed during my visit to the Havant location. While the food was outstanding, I couldn't ignore the staff's lack of proper hygiene measures. This aspect significantly impacted my overall experience and made me question the establishment's safety.For instance, I noticed that the staff frequently wore gloves. Although this might give the impression of cleanliness, it became apparent that they misunderstood proper hygiene protocols. I witnessed on two different days a staff member handling money, touching their nose, and then touching food items without changing their gloves or washing hands. It is important to note that simply wearing gloves does not prevent cross-contamination; correct practices and knowledge are essential in maintaining a hygienic environment.In light of these concerns, I strongly urge André Restaurant to prioritize comprehensive training for their staff, emphasizing the importance of hygiene practices and cross-contamination prevention. Encouraging utensils or tongs when handling food would be a step in the right direction to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.I genuinely enjoyed the exceptional flavours and unique culinary creations at André's Restaurant. It saddens me that these hygiene issues mar such a fantastic dining experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements the necessary measures to address these concerns promptly.In conclusion, while the cuisine at André Restaurant is undeniably superb, I must highlight the importance of maintaining high hygiene standards. Having been very disappointed at the last business leaving maybe expectations were high. We were very happy to support a business we recognised from other Portsmouth areas. Sadly first experience was not great. Basic croissant and wrap no better than I could make at home (so maybe I will!).However, lovely customer service and a reason to go back and try again.
