Had an absolutely amazing meal here tonight, the service was perfect. Nice friendly face and helpful with my questions about the menu as I need gluten free food. Lots of gluten free starters, mains and puddings too which is hard to find nowadays, also it is advertised as GF on the menu… didn’t haven't to ask for a separate menu which was really nice.Lovely clean toilets, I walked passed a fully equipped changing table too which is always handy for those with younger ones not having to use a pull down one in the toilet. The place is beautifully decorated, we will definitely be back again.

I'm so sorry to have to do this but the food here is not up to scratch, I do a lot of cooking and I like a home cooked meal and this wasn't one. Don't normally write reviews but I read a lot when choosing where to eat, the staff were lovely so I do hope the chef takes these comments on board.

Very nice place! Everyone of 7 us enjoyed the food but couple of things I did not get: 1. Why beer was brought in the glass if it is a bottle beer? I love drinking from the bottle an 2. Why lasagna had cheddar cheese not mocarela? It really ruined a good dish of lasagna.

This place is awesome. We went for a meal last night, and we were blown away. It was the best homemade meals any of us have tasted. We ordered 2 x ribeye steaks, homemade lasagne, and a Hunters chicken. They were all fantastic. We had rung about 5 other places before finding this one. Lucky for us. This place should be everyone's number 1 choice. The food was unreal, the service was great, 2 lovely ladies looked after us, and they were super nice. We will defo be back. Thanks so much.

This place should live up to it’s name and cast itself away. The staff are friendly but have a lot to learn and the atmosphere is at best a tarted up greasy spoon café so you would forgive it thinking the food will make up for it.Unfortunately, the food would be the same if you went to a supermarket with a uni student and asked them to create some dishes for you at home. Everything is either store bought and microwaved or plopped on your plate, lacking any sort of visual pleasure or presentation. Whilst there’s no complaints about the servers who are trying their best, as a basic restaurant rule, customers should be informed if the kitchen has run out of food on the menu when the customers are given menus. This did not happen. Eventually when we did order (with our waitress constantly running back into the kitchen and being informed that cod fillets could not be grilled as they would crumble -what??) we eventually (after much yo-yoing with the kitchen) ordered a cheeseboard which was filled with bland thin slices of cheese, tuc and ritz crackers and a tasty but alas watery and therefore messy homemade chutney (this sorry sight was £7!) Our mains were another sight for sore eyes. The hunters chicken was swimming in out of the bottle barbecue sauce and served with a dollop of cheap supermarket out of the tub coleslaw. The tuna, which was on their specials board described as grilled tuna with prawn and herb lemon sauce with new potatoes and fresh veg, arrived dry and overcooked, with a watery-oily sauce, sad overcooked prawns and a pinch of dried herbs. Meanwhile the potatoes and the veg were again out of the packet supermarket pre-prepared veg and microwaved, insides raw.Huge portions is no indication of good food nor is how quickly the food comes out. If anything it shows that they want to get rid of the food and dish it up quickly because there’s not much cooking involved.Don’t go here and pay £15 a plate at this joke of a restaurant when you can ask your teenager to make it for you at home. Please take your money and your tastebuds to a number of other worthy establishments in town and see what good fresh food is about, just remember to pre-book!

Booked our meal easily enough. Menu had a great selection of meals along with the evening specials. Although busy service was very efficient.

Our last night in Swanage and thank goodness we found this little gem for dinner. Meal portions are huge, but the quality is exceptional. We were so full, and I was so disappointed I couldn’t fit in dessert. The staff were so lovely, it’s just a shame we didn’t find it at the beginning of our holiday in Swanage. This is a must to go to and the stroganoff was to die for. Thank you for such a wonderful last meal to end our holiday.
