The Barber Shack at Stans

After trying out a few barbers, it’s by far the cleanest fade I have ever got. The girls know what they’re doing and wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Highly recommended fantastic girls good sense of humour great atmosphere make you feel like part of the family. Excellent hair cut and beard trim every time! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Walked straight in....got the cut I wanted...well staffed....good price.You can do your shopping get fuel and your hair cut all at one place.....

Perfect place to go for a quality haircut. There's always a nice warm welcome and a good chat to be had, with the cost of a haircut being very reasonable.Particularly handy is the ability to book an appointment or just walk in. Whilst this is a response to the covid-19 crisis, I've found it really useful as it can easily be done via Facebook.Updating this review to say that there's some expansion work going on - they will be able to offer more services very soon. It's really good to have such a good barber's so local.Still the same, but the expansion is open now! Yay!

Booked via Facebook which was handy. They took my name and number for track and trace on arrival. Great haircut from friendly hairdresser. Payment by cash only but no problem as there is a cash machine at the adjacent supermarket.

Also see my edit in response to the reply given by the barber shack....I have taken my boys here a couple of times as I had been happy with their cuts. I thought the last cut was a little bit short but not too bad but this time I can't believe what she's done to my gorgeous boy.For both of my son's, I asked for a short back and sides and to leave the top. The hairdresser did a great job of the back and it was all looking positive. The first of my son's in the chair had a nice cut, again it was a little bit shorter on the fringe than I asked but I was reasonably happy with it.Then my other son went for his cut. again, the back and sides were great. She asked about the fringe and I said to just take it out of his eyes but leave it long. She then proceeded to lop an inch off his fringe. It's half way up his forehead and looks awful. I said at the time that it was too short and she blamed the last cut saying it was too short at the sides and she just followed the previous cut. To me that was a poor excuse and she could have easily left it long. His hair looked better before the cut. I wish I had have just cut it myself.The more I look at him the angrier I'm getting. These haircuts are in advance of a wedding. I know hair grows back but it won't before the wedding. I have spent a small fortune on outfits for the boys so they will look super smart on the day but these haircuts have ruined that.I'm so unhappy with the cuts today and I'm actually really upset. After a couple of good cuts this has totally put me off. We won't be returning. I mean.... look at the state of it.__________Edit:For you to not accept my comments and take on board my complaint simply worsens my review. An apology would have been a much better approach however, you have instead implied that I have asked you to carry out a bowl cut on my child and that we had a conversation about cutting his hair short when I explicitly said to keep it long. You did NOT tell me you were cutting it short before you hacked it off.I clearly said to you, BEFORE YOU CUT ANY OF BOTH MY BOYS HAIR, to leave the top. I said it twice before each of them sat in the chair and made a point of it particularly with the son you did this to because his hair needs to be long for the weight. I said that clearly and we had a conversation about it.When you asked about the fringe I said ok but just take it out of his eyes. Taking a fringe that was just touching his eyelashes and cut it half way up his forehead is not just taking it out of his eyes. You have almost taken it off his entire head!The only time you mentioned the previous bad haircut, which was done at your barber shop, is after you realised you made a hash of it. I said you have cut it too short which is when you made the excuse of a previous bad haircut. You did not discuss taking an inch off his fringe with me, because I would have said NO. You took his beautiful hair and made him look like you've cut it round a bowl. The pictures speak for themselves.It doesn't matter which angle I take the photo on because his hair is the same all the way around, and no matter how much I try to sweep it to the side it just goes straight back because it is too short. It is not a good haircut and it certainly is not what I asked for. The exact words I used were.. A short back and sides and leave the top long" and "Ok
