Amazing breathtaking views. In the summer, I climb to the top of the hill and have a picnic- it can be a bit windy but it's worth it. In the colder months, ensure you wear wellingtons or really good walking boots as it can get a bit muddy. Carry some antibacterial hand gel- as you will be opening some gates along the footpath. Other essentials- water (or wine in my case), a few snacks and a picnic blanket. Also, please please please, if you are planning to have a picnic, do take any litter/packaging with you, don't just leave it there. Landmarks like these need to be looked after, by the community, there isn't anyone else that will maintain it.There are no pubs or shops nearby (except for Toby Cavery, which is on the way) just a beautiful scenery.

Best view of Bristol by a mile, and it's only a mile out of the city. Please don't bring the car up here, there's no point. There's only one pull in space and it's too narrow a road to block one of those. It is very quiet though, and while steep, it is walkable. For an easier ascent, go from Norton Malreward, up the side of a field and straight to the tump. From Bristol there's a footpath off Tanorth Road but I believe it is largely vertical.

Great views over Bristol with contrasting views across paddocks on the other side. Not too long of a walk to get there and it's all well signposted. However, the road behind it is used as a dumping ground for people who want to litter so there is so much rubbish along the lane. Bring a bag to clear it up some rubbish along your walk and we can all sort it out.
