Oatcake Annies

Since new ownership its been terrible, it was best oatcake place around last ownership. Last time I walked in since new owners they seemed annoyed and didn't want serve as was busy. And what I did have ended up in bin, standards have really dropped, a real shame.

Been back since reopened still very nice but 14 quid for 4 double sausage oatcakes is expensive I think you need to rethink your prices great staff aswell but that much of a price for what I had

Stopped here today as haven't been in years, to find out it had new owners.Was hoping for good things as I found the old owner quite rude and abrupt, but the food was always exceptional.Today however, service was extremely slow, they didn't seem keen to take orders.Oatcakes are very thin and stretchy, had 2x double bacon, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. The mushrooms were tinned which was a massive disappointment, the oatcake weren't sealed and crisp like you'd expect been done on a hot plate, causing it to completely fall apart when I tried to pick up, ended up squashing all into a mush and eating it.£10.25 seemed quite pricey for 2 oatcakes.I won't be returning.

There was hype in the local news, so I thought “why not?”, go out of my way to support a local business reopening. I arrive at 11am on Wednesday based on the advertised trading hours. Closed - a complete waste of time. They may have a great product but unfortunately can’t do the basics of running a business.

Extremely rude owner dropped order off giving abuse to our reception as was told to call us to come down, he refused to call being aggressive towards multiple people downstairs and left. When we called back he said he “lost it” we are going out our way to drop the money off.

Since this place went under new ownership, I can honestly say I will not be making a 2nd visit. Absolutely terrible food and service. I go past every day on my way to work, and recently I haven't seen one customer in there.

Clean and tidy. Friendly staff and great oatcakes.

I grew up loving this place and in the 20 or so years I’ve been coming here, I’ve never had a bad order. Absolute legends across the board working here and GOD-tier food. I always bring friends from out of Staffordshire here to try oatcakes for the first time and it never fails. Screw Alton Towers, this is the pride and joy of Staffordshire!

The best oatcake and lovely staff. I Always have a Friday feast! Absolutely love this place. The New owners are friendly and polite and there food is spot on. Would visit if I were you
