Cara Coffee | Romsey Mill Trust | Cara Coffee is a social enterprise run through a partnership with Great Shelford Free Church to support the work of Romsey Mill. The coffee shop on 29 High Street, Great Shelford, is run by amazing volunteers, and is a community hub serving delicious ethically sourced coffee, drinks and food.

What a wonderful reception as I went in. Polite, interested in where I'd travelled from and told me about Cara Coffee. First things first, the coffee and toast were perfect and the price was very reasonable. The service was great, not just to me but to all the customers who came in. The added benefit was that the coffee shop is staffed by volunteers and all profits go towards the Romsey Mill charity which supports young people and families, partnering in community developmentwork. A great initiative and very welcome.

Very friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere. Good coffee and snacks. Some toys for young children also. Accessible for wheelchairs and prams. Clean. I’ll come again!

My first visit to this lovely welcoming eaterie, best café coffee I've tasted in a long time with a delicious veggie snack. A great place to linger/chat with its relaxed vibe, helpful smiley staff and light and airy spaces. The locals are very lucky to have Cara!

A lovely café and great Shelford that is taking wonderful measures to remain Covid safe! They are open from Wednesday to Saturday, but will be closed during the Christmas break.They have open air seating outside. They are also very kid and family friendly. They have a special Christmas drink and dessert menu. I highly recommend the gingerbread latte. They have lots of sweet cakes, scones, biscuits, etc... too!They also have non-dairy milk, which is wonderful! They have soy milk and oatmeal.Lastly, the folks who work here are all volunteers. I believe some of the revenue goes to support the church. It’s a wonderful operation run by kind, friendly people.I will definitely return for a nice coffee treat!

A fairly nice very compact coffee shop. Very friendly staff. Quite slow service as when I arrived 4 or 5 other people had just ordered before and I guess they only had 1 machine to make the coffee and we ordered another 3 coffees. Tables were close together. Scones were good coffee was OK.

Gorgeous gluten free cake- only 1 choice but v tasty. Good range of food on menu. Lovely setting as tables outside v comfy. Makes you feel good to sit out in sunshine but shaded tables as well.

Had tea and scones with a friend. We sat outside in the back area in the sun. The young women who served us was delightful. Scones delicious
