Great to park at when walking, paddleboarding or cycling the canal path.It's right next to the canal. Just be careful with opening and closing times, as the gates do get locked.Different times depending on the season

Lovely walks from here. Did a loop with my (active) 2 year old that was very manageable for him. Nice to see the canoes etc come past, and spot the ducks and swans.

Fantastic place to go and relax, lovely cafe adjoining the carpark. Lovely Nd tranquil. Definitely recommend the ploughman's .Very friendly staff. Will definitely be going back.

Ideally placed car park for the tea rooms and / or a walk along canal. Gets locked overnight, so make sure you're out in time !!

Great car park, close to the lock and towpaths on the canal.You can walk the tow path along canal as far as you want, the walk up to the lock is not far, they have an interesting Space" walk along the way you pass the planets and at the lock you will find the Sun. Each of the planets both in diameter and distance form the sun are to the same scale as the sun. An interesting way to visualise just how empty space is
