Village Hair

I have used Village Hair for years and they are kind and welcoming. I have been taking my son there since he had his first hair cut and they have always been absolutely fantastic with him. I also have my hair cut there and have NEVER been disappointed with anything. They are a local company who does not deserve nasty comments!!!!

Lovely salon and hairdresser is fantastic. Always come out feeling happy with what has been done. Would highly recommend

Very good hair cut right price.

I hate to leave bad reviews, and for a while I’ve ummed and ahhed about whether to do so, however I am quite upset and feel my upset is justified. Helen at village hair is a wonderful lady, truly, I had a lot of fun talking with her. However after an initial appointment for a haircut Helen said she could put a clear gloss on my hair. I used to dye it a long time ago and said whilst I do not want a colour I miss the glossiness of dyed hair, but I would not dye it again as the process of growing it out is such a pain and actually I like my natural colour.Helen promised me what she would apply was indeed a clear gloss which would give me that glossy appearance without the colour.When I went back for my gloss application I was surprised to see that the ‘clear’ gloss looked slightly tinted with colour once applied, then, when Helen was drying my hair I felt it was not quite the same colour as my natural hair colour. Helen seemed very distracted and keen to get me out the door during the appointment and now I understand why. It is three months on and I have very definite roots, after having a consultation at another salon they have confirmed my hair has been dyed and not glossed!!!I am absolutely gutted to have to go through the process of growing out colour again. I am also really disappointed and quite cross that a professional hairdresser would lie or miss-sell a treatment to me. If Helen had not had the correct product in stock I would’ve had no problem in being told this and coming back another day. To dye my hair without my consent is inexcusable in my view. Needless to say I’m bitterly disappointed and will not return to village hair.

Great place to get your hair done. Very friendly staff who cater for your own individual hair needs. Thoroughly recommend.

Had a lovely experience with Emma at Village Hair. Great advice about colour and lovely cut. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
