Tallavey Cottages
We had a wonderful 5 night stay in Cottage 1 at Tallavey in May. The cottage is spacious and finished to a high standard (including huge bed, sauna and hot tub), and beautifully clean. The welcome pack was lovely with local produce, including home made madeleines and Tallavey raspberry jam. The champagne was also much appreciated! We enjoyed watching wildlife from the window (including red squirrel) and easing aching muscles in the hot tub and sauna at the end of each day of walking and wildlife spotting. A truly great place to stay for exploring Perthshire and beyond.

I don't dish out 5 star reviews easily but this place seriously earned it. The location is ideallic, secluded, quiet and surrounded by nature, but a mere 20 minute drive to the nearest town (Pitlochry). The cottage itself is just perfect in every way. A converted cow shed but retaining many of the original quirks and qualities whilst completing the design and fittings to the highest possible quality. Everything has been thought out so well when designing this place, it's just got everything you need, exactly where you need it. The personal touches are just lovely and and are all provided from local businesses. The facilities are all top quality and well maintained. You can tell the owners take great care and pride in keeping the place clean and fixed up. The host Ian met us onsite tp welcome us, show us around and talk us through a few bits yo be aware of. We couldn't have asked for a kinder or more helpful host.I spent 4 nights here as a newlywed on my minimoon and my only regret is that i didn't book an extra night.I'm just looking for reasons to rebook now.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the cottage. A very warm personal welcome from Ian.The cottage is fantastic in all aspects. Clare and Ian have have invested a lot of time, creativity ( and money ) and the result is a credit to them. Everything is top quality.Such a rare find- adults only, no smoking and no pets.We have already booked to return in 2023.

We are not normally ones for placing reviews, but on this occasion we both felt it appropriate to let as many people know about this wonderful hideaway. When we booked this property, we were both ready for a break and in need of some quiet relaxation. The pictures on the website don't do the property justice. Everything just looked brand new, the quality and the cleanliness of the fittings etc was way above what we would expect of holiday rental property. The massive bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was stunning with what must be the biggest rain shower head I've seen! The hot tub was spotless and used every day and a great way to relax after our walks. Perfect for couples and will definitelyreturn.

A fantastic stay at Tallavey Cottages over New Year. Facilities were first class and the cottage was stocked with everything you could ever need for a few nights away. The location is stunning. Communication from Ian and Claire was first class and nothing was too much effort. Although there are 2 cottages it's laid out so once you're at your cottage you wouldn't have a clue anyone else is nearby, really private and a relaxing feel. Do not hesitate to book here!

Second stay in one of the Tallavey cottages and had another brilliant visit.We managed to book a very last minute 3 night stay in Cottage 1. Communication from the owner from start to finish was excellent.Fabulous accommodation, modern, but comfortable and being able to watch the local wildlife from the huge window in the living room was great. Utility room is really well equipped for washing/drying etc.We walked for miles whilst in the area and loved returning to the comforts of the hot tub and the sauna. Watching the deer and the red squirrel from the hot tub was fun.The welcome goodies were all delicious and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Wouldn’t look at any other accommodation now when back in this beautiful area of Scotland. A truly outstanding place to stay.

Tallavey Cottages
We had a fantastic long weekend in Cottage 1. The cottage itself is everything you could ask for and a whole lot more - cosy, comfortable, very luxurious, quiet and so relaxing. The bathroom gives a spa experience all of your own. Watching the squirrels from the window seat in the lounge area was very entertaining! We loved it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we hope to visit again.

It was such a lovely place at Tallavey cottages, would 100% go back again, and can’t fault any of it. The heated wet room, sauna and hot tub were fantastic!The owners left home baked goods and a welcome pack including champagne which was such a nice touch and really tasty. The owners were so helpful to explain how everything worked. But equally gave us privacy and it felt like such a wonderful getaway in gorgeous countryside.

We can't recommend Tallavey Cottages enough. Our stay was incredible - the attention to detail, the welcome pack, the location, the hosts Ian and Clare - everything was perfect! It was the most relaxing getaway to completely and utterly unwind, we wouldn't have changed a thing and couldn't have asked for any better. Something I feel is important to note is the size inclusivity at Tallavey. Something us plus-size people often go through when staying in hotels etc. is the towels/dressing gowns/etc don't fit people above a certain size, so extra points and love to Ian and Clare for being so inclusive and going above and beyond. Seriously well worth the cost, and more! Best place we've ever stayed.

Wow! What an absolutely fantastic time we had at Tallavey.We stayed in Cottage 2 which was just beautiful. A very friendly and warm welcome from Ian on arrival and upon entering the cottage it is clear just how much attention to detail Ian and Clare have put in to the experience of guests staying here. The welcome pack was a great addition, everything in it went down a treat! Especially the homemade madeleines and champagne after a lengthy drive. Such a relaxed atmosphere and I felt right at home, so much so that I didn’t want to leave! The privacy given in the cottage and secluded garden creates such a feeling of intimacy and makes it seem as though there is no one else around for miles.I only have great things to say about our stay here. Of course the amenities of the hot tub, sauna and wood burner were better than I could have imagined, however I even want to tell others about the softness of the bedroom carpet on my feet.Ian and Clare, you both should be so very proud of the beautiful hideaway you have created. I will definitely be back at some point to enjoy the scenic views and wildlife from a hammock again! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
