Fabulous place ,gorgeous cows and peacocks, and ducks to feed ,fab little farm shop

Used to be lovely visiting this farm, but the prices now are higher than ever and the duck pond is now empty of water, the cafe has closed down and the place is full of metal barriers. Not the enlightening place it once was. The peacocks are the only treat now. They eat seeds from your hand and are very beautiful to watch.

Such a shame that I have to write this. I have loved this place since I was a child. The Peacocks are amazing and the place itself is lovely. However, this time I was greeted by a rather angry woman. Upon going past restricted land (to where there was no restricted sign present and I was with 2 small children) a farmer told us to get away from his land which was understandable, we were unaware that it was private.. The farmer seemed fairly understanding, however a woman came up to us with an extreme attitude. She told me “I’m sixty f**king five years years old, I don’t have an attitude” which would be ironic if it wasn’t threatening. She also told my kids to pay for the peacock feathers that they were picking up from the ground and looking at. The lady seemed apologetic towards her language,, but the context of the confrontation in a place filled with childhood memory wasn’t good enough, or acceptable. I hope that this place invests in better signs for their private areas, as kids are curious enough to go anywhere. The kids still enjoyed watching the peacocks, but any childhood memory of mine has been tarnished..

I've been coming here for years, and you can not beat fresh local produce.
