Cheeky Chops

We have been coming here for a few years and always found it a good experience. The booking system is easy and means you don't have to risk a big queue and rarely have to wait more than a couple of mins.Staff pleasant and careful.

Edit: without going into further detail the tone of the owners reply says it all really.If your disabled child gets upset and it takes an extra 5 minutes they’ll sting you for an extra £5 on your way out of the door. I subsequently explained the situation and asked for an apology but the owner decided it was better to deny it ever happened. I never normally leave negative reviews, I just go elsewhere the next time but it’s what happened. I see they now offer extra time and care appointments for those that don’t like their hair cut, this comes across to me as saying yes we will cut the hair of your autistic children but you will need to pay an extra £6 for the privilege to which I say no thank you.

Absolute miracle worker! I have a very nervous little man who can be very shy around strangers and can wriggle a lot. We booked for the longer session which made the appointment more relaxed and gave him time to warm up and we weren't as rushed. She really worked around him to make him as comfortable as possible. He didn't want to go in the car and sat on his nana's knee whilst playing on a game yet still it was quick and a beautiful cut. We even got a certificate for his first cut too! I will not hesitate to recommend and will be back soon.

We’ve being coming here for 2 years and always have a fantastic experience. All the staff are lovely and friendly and know how to make my son relax. His hair always looks lovely when they’ve finished which is amazing given how much he squirms.I would highly recommend, booking is easy through Booksy.

I've been to other children's hairdressers in Leeds and been disappointed with the service but not Cheeky Chops. Vivianna was fantastic with my son, she really made him feel comfortable and gave him a great haircut. Fantastic experience and exactly what I would want from a children's hairdresser. We will definitely be back for his next cut!

First hair cut for my 5 year old (I know). The hairdresser read his body language well and didn’t make a big deal out of anything, but at the same time encouraged him along. Followed my instructions/pictures well too.

Over priced, poor customer service, scruffy and unclean. Overall it was disappointing. My baby’s first hair cut wasn’t the experience I wanted it to be. Will keep looking for a good children’s barber.

Can’t praise Jody and the girls at cheeky chops enough!I have taken both my boys there since they were babies and they have always been more than accommodating as neither of them enjoy having their hair cut.Even though cutting their hair has been a challenge at times the girls have always managed to give them both a lovely cut.They have seen my oldest through to bring 4 and he sits perfectly now for his hair cut.10/10 always thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Took my 2yr old Grandson for his first cut, mum had waited this long as he is nervous and anxious in a room with strangers. His hair was long and curly and getting tangled, even in his toys! Cheeky chops did a fantastic job, they managed to keep him stress free and did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend to mums that are worried about the first time experience of having a hair cut.
