The animals are housed in a sympathetic manner yet allow good viewing opportunities. A programme of informative runs through the day making this a fascinating place to visit

Wonderful place to visit, either for a photography day (my visit) or just as a visitor. By the way, check opening times as they aren't always open to the public during school term time.As the name implies, British wildlife is the theme here, foxes, badgers, red squirrels as well as lots of other native species plus a collection of Scottish Wildcats with (currently) some exceptionally cute kittens. All of the species on display are clearly extremely well cared for and definitely loved; no concerns about welfare here ...Can't recommend a trip highly enough

Lovely enclosures and habitats. My 12 and 14yr old grandchildren enjoyed their visit during half term. It caters well for much younger visitors. I was very impressed with the Badger set and to see them so close even though they were sleeping.

I am an amateur photographer, and found this experience absolutely amazing. The talks were so informative! I have now sponsored the owls and have a membership, I am so looking forward to going to the centre in a few weeks! It was amazing seeing these animals, so have attached some photos to hopefully attract more people to the centre!

My partner and I discovered this place after driving past and what a find! It’s a hidden gem!One of the best animal sanctuaries we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. We noticed how large the animal enclosures were, and how well maintained they are, and the animals look so healthy! The staff are excellent, very educational for the talks and the catering staff are fab! we shall certainly be visiting again soon.

My child went on a school trip here and loved it! He was given a free child’s ticket to go again that we used yesterday. My partner and I had never been before and it was a great experience. Loads of toilets, baby change, a cafe, two picnic areas, a kids play area, lots of British wildlife to see and talk about, talks all through the day with experienced and knowledgable keepers who genuinely care about the animals in their care. It is purely British wildlife but then, how many people have actually seen a badger or a hedgehog? I haven’t! The owl show was particularly awesome. We didn’t see any red squirrels because they are apparently only active until about 12-midday and we didn’t arrive until then. If you buy tickets in advance (up to 9am the day of), there is a discount.

Friendly staff, great homes for the animals, learnt a lot. There's a few benches to sit around the grounds. It's best to go for the whole day to go to all the animal talks, but you could just do a half day. Be aware that animals are more active at different times of day. Cheaper to buy ticket in advance.

Very educational trip for adults and children. If you want to see the many native animal you must join the talks by the keepers. The animals know the keepers and the timetable and will turn up for the treats on offer. Nice restaurant/cafe and very clean toilets. Umbrellas provided for wet days. Big car park and good disabled access.

I have visited the British Wildlife Centre twice and overall I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Positives:1. Instills a love and appreciation for animals. This is especially good for the children who visit.2. The animals mostly have nests or areas where they can hide away from the public. They are not forced to be on display at all times.3. The bears in the gift shop are nice. They had bears of every animal we saw at the centre, which was great.Negatives:1. There is a Buzzard, and a Raven, they are kept in small cages. This is cruel as they are birds and it is in their nature to fly.2. On both occasions when I visited, the keepers referred to various different animals within the centre as stupid" which is a rather ignorant thing to say especially considering their jobs. You'd hope that they'd genuinely love the animals."

This is such a great day out. Beautiful wildlife and beautiful grounds. This was the third time of visiting and most definitely won't be the last. Thank you to the great team of staff who work hard to ensure visitors are educated about conservation of endangered wildlife in the UK.
