Very good when I was admitted there some years ago saved my life turned up with nothing but a tablet pc some clothes and a modem got right within 6 months and kept all my belongings thankyou to the staff that treated me and got me of drugs have done them scince manager Steve put in hard work at the time respect to the man proved me inocent of some crimes

Ignore the poor reviews! If your unfortunate enough to have need of this place, rest assured, it's staffed by the most empathetic and compassionate people you could wish to meet. Your stay will be brief, but speaking from personal experience, at a time of need....Your in safe hands.

Charlesworth Ward is an appalling environment for any woman with an acute mental illness. The majority of staff do not care or treat you with disdain. Sadly they outweigh the good staff who are run of their feet due to staff shortages. Physical conditions that impact mental health are ignored or downplayed. The wait to see a member of 'physical' health care staff is abysmal. Sort this place out before someone is seriously injured by a volatile patient or suffers a medical episode due to ignorance of pre existing medical conditions.

Staff verbally abused my partner, including during an autistic meltdown. She was frequently told that she wasn't mentally ill and was just an attention seeking 'brat' despite the professionals disagreeing. Physically abused her and mocked her whilst doing so. Also violated gdpr. NOT a safe environment for any vulnerable, especially disabled, young women to go into.

Was sectioned onto Connolly Ward last year. Excellent caring and professional Staff, both Clinical and Housekeeping. Mid day meals were lovely, tasty and filling. Activities were regular and varied. I was always included in care decisions. My visitors were always made welcome. Only criticism was the amount of noise during the day, admittedly there were works going on downstairs, and it doesn't have to be like a Library, but if people could just keep their voices down a bit?Anyway, overall 5 stars was thoroughly deserved due to my experience.

No point wasting your time. Help for mental health is non existent

Do not go here if you want a break or your mental health to get better. Constant noise, lack of support and understanding. Complaints not dealt with by manager. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Bad experience from the beginning and I would recommend going somewhere else before coming here

If I could leave a zero rating I would. The place is a breeding ground for diseases that if you don't have you soon will have. If people want to pretend playing doctors & nurses let them but not at the expense of infecting people or handing out medication that they know nothing about. Staff if you can call them that obviously play doctors and nurses by watching Casualty and Holby City. The whole place is festering cess pit and health hazard and should have been leveled and the site cleared years ago. The place is home to addicts and people with schizophrenic tendencies.
