Urban Hair

I have used the same hairdresser in Leeds for 10years and been happy. However, I decided that I wanted to use a more local salon and Urban Hair was recommended,I had my first appointment yesterday for a full head of highlights and cut and blow dry.I am completely delighted and can honestly say that this is the best my hair has been in many years. Louise, who did my hair, listened to what I wanted and then advised on how we achieved th results. The salon is lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful. I am so glad that I made the decision to go to Urban Hair.

Nikita was brilliant! Was my first time at the salon and I left very impressed. Not only did she do a great job with my hair, she was a pleasure to sit with. I aren't great at talking about my hair and what I want but she asked all the right questions to pull it out of me.(I have really long hair and went for a trim and ballyage)

I went to Urban Hair a couple of weeks ago for my first haircut in over a year. The staff are friendly and really helpful. Carrie was lovely and gave me useful styling tips. Would definitely recommend.

TLDR: Refused to provide the agreed-upon service. Making up lies to cover themselves. want to charge me extra money to fix the mistakes they made. Terrible colour, and terrible service.Absolutely appalled. I came to this salon with a photo of the colour I wanted. A balayage with a dark root and a light end. I asked for a money piece as well. Well, the first stylist for some reason turned the whole top of my hair red. Bright red. I don't even know why so much of the top of my hair was lightened at all. She was even going to leave in some of the blondes until I pointed it out. So I returned to the salon and pointed out this wasn't what I asked for, they kept going on about how the colour would sit differently up top because the hair is virgin. Frankly, that doesn't matter as there was no reason for large parts of my hair up top to have ever BEEN lightened as that was NOT what I asked for. However I didn't harp on that and asked that my root be made the dark colour it was meant to be, and I pointed out that the ends of my hair the colour looked right so all that was needed was the dark root put in and blended properly. So tell me why I now have all-over dark brown hair so dark it looks black. All the way to the tip. It looks like cheap box dye. I was immediately unhappy and told them and was waved off with go wash it

It's been a long time since I've felt so comfortable with my hair cut and colour. At Urban hair I get the cut I want and they discuss my requirements and really make an effort to be sure I'm happy. Well done to Rhiannon and the team.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Had a cut and colour with Nikita, who was lovely and did a fab job. Booked my next visit before I left.
