Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green

This week I went on for a tooth extraction, although I was very nervous the team were amazing and got the job done pain free and efficiently. I was very impressed with my first experience in surgery and am grateful to the team.Thank you again.

Sadly I had a terrible experience, as an NHS patient. I was delayed receiving pain meds after my op as my nurse went on lunch - luckily the anesthetist came to check on me. The nurse came back and made me feel like I was bring dramatic. They discharged me when I clearly was in no state to leave. The nurse sent me home having not eaten (usually a requirement post tonsillectomy) and still being sick. The surgeon said I should stay as long as possible, but I heard the nurses talking about wanting to go home so they rushed me out. They couldn't wait to get me out of there.I was admitted to the RUH 48 hours later, with dehydration from vomiting, which caused a bleed. They said I should've been kept in overnight, having clearly had a bad reaction to the morphine. It was touch and go as to whether I'd need another surgery. Luckily, they were incredible as was my GP. My recovery was twice the length it should have been.The surgical staff were great, the nurses were borderline cruel. I imagine you have a better experience if you're paying for it!

Wonderful, friendly, caring staff, from the reception team through to the clinicians, I underwent oral surgery and was so well looked after and informed before and after the procedure. A wonderful service from start to finish. Highly recommend.

If you are self funding look elsewhere. Keep your hard earned cash in your pocket or find a hospital with a higher standard than PP. Communication is a joke. Their ethos is get the money and stuff the patient. After surgery to fix my sons knee which we were informed 'should' fix it, we were told that the knee was much worse than their scans showed, scans which cost £300. The operation took 20 minutes and cost £5000, and the knee is now far worse than before surgery. They have now washed their hands of us, the surgeon was rude and brash treating us as if we were stupid. We can not afford legal representation and they know this. Their policy on data protection is non-existent. They are behaving like cowboy builders, knowing people are having to wait due to lengthy NHS wait times. They are cashing in on vulnerable people who need operations. 21-08-23 ... Is it not just common decency to respond to a letter, the only response from you is your response 2 weeks ago posted on this forum and which was wrong. Still no response from Practice Plus Group ... no one from the Governance Department have been in touch ... as I stated, their care and support is nonexistent. Update...Your reply is wrong as no one from the hospital has been in contact with me. They have my number and my email but as of today 5-8-23 I have had no response from anybody at Practice Plus....

WOST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!Firstly even getting an appointment was awful!had 2 pre-appointments before my surgery making 6 teeth extraction into 8 because of the wait of 9 months!I had 2 very big extracts at 8 teeth in total and my first one went horrendously.They let me leave blood dripping from my mouth and 2 small pieces of gauze for the entire week!I was left with a botched job of loads of shards of tooth fragments still left and had to go see a dentist a few days after for removal and extra gauze.I also got an infection after a week and they did not care, they said for me to go see an emergency dentist at £195 a pop it wasn't an option for me!I got antibiotics in the end luckily from my gp. After I complained and asked for a new doctor, they assured me that would happen and that I would have a better experience.I was desperate so I had my 2nd one there stupidly. and had the same issue just no infection this time. But my poor gums got shredded by tooth fragments left behind again.I no longer trust this place all the nurses I was in contact with did not help my anxiety before going in and just kept saying I'm fine!I had clinical anxiety and cried during my first appointment due to fear and they didn't allow my partner to be with me as they spoke to me. I cried and not a single staff member asked if I needed anything or even if I was ok!Not to mention both surgery I waited stewing in my anxiety for 40 min- 1.5 hours after my designated time!Avoid this place like the plague!

On the 31/7/23.I went under general anesthesia to have a balloon ablation procedure.Before the procedure getting gowned up, I was given lovely warm scrubs and a dressing gown.I felt very comfortable during my short time at the hospital.The team were all very professional and friendly.On my recovery I was given a nice cup of coffee and very decent selection of biscuits.Also asked if I wanted another drink once I had finished.I recommend the hospital again.

I was lucky enough to be seen by the dental team at Practice Plus, Emerson’s Green on the NHS.The whole experience from initial consultation to final treatment was excellent. Very efficient, friendly team who took time to explain each procedure clearly.

My first surgical procedure, the whole team from the receptionist to the consultant were absolutely fantastic. I can't offer enough praise for their empathy and professionalism. Thank you all.
