Onyx Fish Bar and Grill
Had onyx a few times and always been good. Had it tonight I had fish and chips and my husband sausage and chips. Both felt really sick and had an upset stomach after. Fish was nice but the chips and peas weren't very nice.

Beautiful and clean fish and chips bar with seatings inside and outside. The fish and chips was almost perfect. Plenty of free parking next to the restaurant.

Used to be good value for money & it’s down the road which is great too but they raised their prices WAY too much! Almost £3 just for a large battered sausage! A SINGLE beef and onion pie is over £5. A SINGLE burger is over £5. A regular chips is over £3. It’s far too over priced now. Literally disgusting how much this place charges now!!! No longer a regular there.

went in to place an order, took ages to be served. once we paid we were told it would be 15minutes so we said we’d nip back. 20minutes later we came back and the lady looked at us completely gone out like she’d forgot our order then took it from an order that was sat on the side. the food itself was vile. chips were stale eventhough its a 5minute drive home, the fish was soggy, burnt like the oil hadnt been changed and tasted horrid. the fish was also very small so not much value for money at £7.50. will takemy custom elsewhere next time.

Friendly owner and a clean shop. A pity they are not busier as no other customers while we were there. Good food too!

Cold food chips was reheated then left for That long they tasted crumbly rang to complain just got told they was not cold and they are now closed joke of a place

Initial order was over an hour late arriving and was understandably cold.We decided to give them another chance a month or so later. We ordered two kebab meal deals and was then told it didn't include a pitta or a wrap (even though their website automatically prompts a pitta or wrap option when making your selections), so we said can we pay for two pittas to be added to the order. They told us we couldn't do that and didn't explain why. We did try and explain that a kebab includes a pitta or wrap, otherwise it should be labelled as kebab meat deal. They just palmed us off and said it's a problem on the website they can't control (even though it's THEIR website).Lost a £22 order over £1.60 for pittas... I'm not business savvy, but I do know that's ridiculous.

Great traditional fish n chips wrapped to take away or eat in if you choose. I was staying in the holiday inn hotel, so just down the road. I had the fish n chip special which included a choice of sauces all for 6.95, lovely staff, well recomended
