In need of renovation. Some Areas where you can see electric wiring exposed and Sharpe edges could hurt toddler s so bit dangerous.

This place need a bit of renovation. It's convenient to get to and out but it needs a massive renovation and the lift takes ages after Pressing the button. The stage is to high and the walls and ceiling looks too old. Overall the place location wise is good but not well looked after. Toilets stink as you enter.

Nice place for a function....except for limited parking spaces

Worst event I have ever experienced.

The outside: OK, it's a plain old building in the middle of a city. Can't expect anything spectacular looks wise but at the very least do a quick sweep up of litter or jet wash the pigeon poop off the path before someone's wedding!Entrance hall and stairway/lift: nothing special, random items left scattered along the walls and areas which aren't in use but visible nonetheless. Lift was working but seemed to bounce as it approached 2nd floor - Scary!Main hall: it was around 20C today outside so not overly hot but not cool either. There are no openable windows, no ventilation, no working a.c... just about 6 or 8 wall mounted fans to blow the stale, hot around the room. If the hall was on the ground floor at least doors or windows could be opened to let in some air but a.c. is desperately needed. The ceiling mounted a.c. units (8 or so) were present but clearly not been used/working for some time. They looked unused and out of action. The windows are covered with black fabric for some reason. Possibly to block out the light to reduce heat, but that won't work unless it's the special black out fabric without any gaps. Flooring was old and uneven. Much much more investment needed!Toilets: atrocious is an understatement. Looked like they'd not been cleaned before the event began and doubt they will be cleaned in the break while I right this message or even after. Dreading visiting them this evening to be honest. Have taken some alcohol gel and wipes with me for reassurance just in case.The reception party starts in an hour so I have just had to rethink my outfit to something a bit more comfortable... Tuxedo is a no no. Once the booze, food and dancing start them toilets are gonna be a no go zone - I just hope the public toilets outside are open! Poor is the only word to describe this place. However the price reflects this (Hence the 1*) or else I'd give it a zero. To anyone looking for a bargain venue I'd rethink your own ideologies and just work that bit more and save up that bit extra to avoid this place. It won't go down well with anyone invited and unfortunately will tarnish your big day!

Not impressed as we were supposed to be at The Athena for the show, not enough room for everyone, bar ran dry and electric kept cutting out so food took forever.

A nice hall but needs some attention. Toilets can do with a bit of work too. Actually the whole venue needs a bit of a makeover/renovation!
