Amazing place for a cycle, walk, run or dog walking! There are multiple paths too and from the river so you can go through lots of different scenery. Benches along the main parts of the river and it's links along flat paths all the way from Sale water park to Stockport and beyond. My favourite part of Manchester!

I feel really lucky to be living just round the corner from the river, its indelicate little walk ,just to get away from tech and traffic....

Lovely place to go for a run or walk, great for dog walkers. Path is peaceful and is great to get in touch with nature.

Beautiful, serene, would give 5 stars but unfortunately like most inner city nature reserves and parks, it's used more by dogs and their walkers! I've seen people letting their dogs do their poo and then just walk away, leaving it there. I really cannot understand why it's okay for people to use beautiful places of nature as dog toilets. Don't these people have back gardens?! And no I'm not a dog hater I'm a responsible dog owner!

Lovely for a stroll, particularly on a sunny summer day. Feels like bring in the middle of the countryside with the convenience of being a short walk from Didsbury.

Seriously damaged river due to canalization work from the fifties, and older industrial weirs plus Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed. Occasional Kingfisher. Badly in need of restoration.Yesterday the river was was full of brown and white particulates with the occasional strips of toilet paper in the mix. Reported to the EA.

Beautiful walks along the riverside with great scenery and plenty of nature. Great for dog walkers and you can walk the paths into the woods. Good to blow away the cobwebs on a brisk sunny day.

Nice spot for a seasonal stroll with some nice food and drink vendors. You should be able to park nearby easily.
