The Black Swan
My chicken burger came without the mayo and my Eaton mess was basically a bowl of cream with a little meringue and 6 very small pieces of strawberry that would probably be the equivalent of one medium sized strawberry definitely would not recommend.That said my hubby really enjoyed his beef dinner and sticky toffee pud . My friend had the scampi and had so much she couldn't eat it all. Also the floor was wet and extremely slippery very dangerous something should have been put down in the Walkways

We have visited the Black Swan today and have had one of our best meals out. The food was incredible, with fantastic meat and accompanying sides. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate for our 10 month baby. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Amazing food and great service. Have enjoyed everyone we've visited. I've been for the Sunday roast, quick pint and a bowl of chips, and a Saturday evening family meal, and I have never been disappointed.

Possibly the best Sunday roast ive had out, staff were all really friendly and the girl who took our order and waited on was excellent, she was really good fun with no air's and graces but very good at her job. I would recommend the black swan to all and we have already booked again to go to a tapas night.

Great experience here, booked us in very last minute, really nice atmosphere in the bar area. Relaxed and modern feel. Staff were very attentive and understanding with allergens. Food was really nice and clearly homemade - great value also! We would 100% recommend if you're in the area.

Great pub/restaurant with its accent on quality food. Known as the 'Mucky Duck' to those who know it From the outside area there are stunning views of the Ecclesbourne valley. Booking recommended as it's popular with locals and tourists alike. M

We visited on a Tuesday evening. We arrived at 6.30pm. We got our food at 7.55pm. We complained around 7.45, and gave them until 8.... I have NEVER had such bad service in a pub.Some locals came in after us, and were served their food first, and left before we even got our food !We complained about this, and were told they had booked. I don't understand what that has to do with it - if you can't meet the demand, then don't tell people they can have a table.The food was good when it came, although we had kebabs, which should have had a yoghurt sauce. This was missing, so the whole dish was completely dry.When we went to pay, no apology....Suffice to say, we won't be returning. We stay in this area a lot, but will continue to use the other pubs, of which there are many.So you get 1 star for the food, and 1 star for being doggy friendly, but lose 3 stars for the appalling service.
