I recently purchased my first property and was recommended Stephen Bowden at Williams Thompson as a solicitor. Stephen was highly professional and friendly all times whilst taking the time to communicate every detail and make sure I was happy and understood each stage. This was extremely appreciated as I have had no experience with this in the past, so to have that level of care and patience was fantastic. I would definitely use Stephen again in the future - highly recommended!

This year we have worked with both the conveyancing and wills department and both times they have been excellent. In the past we did work with another firm for conveyancing and they were terrible, we thought all solicitors working in this area would be the same. Williams Thompson were amazing, and proved that there are very good solicitors out there if you look for them.We worked with a named contact in each case who were able to guide us through both processes providing detailed knowledge and recommendations. In both cases they were always generous with their time on calls to walk us through any of our questions and were quick to respond via email. Williams Thompson have now acted for us for our last three house purchases. They are extremely professional and thorough, with excellent communication. They kept us informed throughout each purchase. Their support was extremely helpful, either when we phoned them to ask them to explain things we did not understand, or the documents they sent with paperwork to explain the pertinent points. We suffered a very poor service from start to finish. David orme seems to be part time as most of the time he wasn’t in the office or couldn’t be got hold of. Instead of our sale taking 8-12 weeks it took 6 months and also cost us a lot of money in stamp duty due to him being lazy! Very poor service, would not use again. We used emma king from Mathew and Mathew. They were brilliant.
