Highcliffe Beach
Highcliffe beach is a lovely destination with a nice, clean shoreline. Visitors can conveniently find pay parking behind Highcliffe Castle, making it easy to access the beach. It’s important to note that barbecues are banned at this beach, so visitors should plan accordingly. To reach the beach, visitors will need to use steps, which may be a consideration for those with mobility issues. However, once you’re down on the sand, you’ll find a mix of sand and gravel, offering a different texture and feel to enjoy.Overall, Highcliffe beach provides a pleasant coastal experience, with its cleanliness, nearby parking, and a mix of sand and gravel. Just remember to be mindful of the barbecue ban and the access via steps.

This beach was super wonderful. We parked the car at high cliffe castle and for 3 hours it was £4.60. Be careful as you can only park there for a maximum of 4 hours and the car park closes at 7pm. The beach wasn't crowded at all, everyone was keeping the distance from each other. The beach has sand and there is a toilet available. There could be access for disabled people but I am not sure. I did see a ramp further but didn't go closer to check that but I am sure you can get in from another place.

Perfect beach for dogs and waves lovers. There's a big car park at the top with plenty of space. Good for motorhome.

Lovely peaceful beach, clean and very quiet. Quick easy access to the beach from the car park, if you're able, 100 steps.

Highcliffe Beach
Lovely beach, mix of sand and stones. Long enough, and plenty of space in terms of privacy. Nice walk from the car park down the wooden stairs. Dogs friendly. View on the cliffs is cool

The beach is not very busy because of lack of parking spaces probably. But if you are lucky to park you will enjoy it.Beach is half sand and half pebbles, the sea is not very steep so is OK for not good swimmers like me ;) In general is nice area with amazing castle and church above the stairs where is the small parking. The stairs are around 100 not very steepy and well maintained 100 yards away the is walk way without steps.

Absolutely gorgeous sandy dog friendly beach. The walk up the steps to high cliffe castle was a little tiresome but all part of the fun. When standing on the cliff top looking over the beach it looks like something out of a movie, from another country.

Highcliffe Beach
Large pay & display car park at the top of the cliff (no parking charges apply 1st Oct - 31st Mar). Fkat path along the top if the cliff, with sloping zig zag paths or steps down to the beach. Some areas are dog friendly all year, whereas other areas have restricted access to dogs during peak summer months. Path along the base of the cliffs. Lovely cafe & food kiosk near the car park, with free, clean toilets also on site.

We parked in Highcliffe Castle Car Park and headed down the steps towards the beach, it was so quiet, a true hidden gem! What sets Highcliffe Beach apart is its sense of seclusion. Even during sunset, when we visited, it felt like we had stumbled upon a secret corner of paradise. The golden hues of the setting sun cast a warm glow on the sandy shores, transporting us to a faraway destination. It's the kind of experience that makes you feel like you're abroad without leaving the UK.One of the highlights for us was the combination of soft sand and pebbles on the beach. It offered a unique texture and added to the charm of the place. We enjoyed strolling along the shore, collecting colorful pebbles, and watching the sun dip below the horizon.Highcliffe Beach is also perfect for families. The calm waters and spacious shoreline make it ideal for children to play and explore safely. It's a place where cherished memories are made.Facilities, including the nearby cafes and clean restrooms, were convenient, and the friendly atmosphere enhanced our experience.
