Tollgate Kennels & Cattery

An amazing kennels that maintains an excellent standard of care for both dogs and cats. It has spacious, comfortable, and immaculate kennels, and each pet receives individual care and attention. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. Only problem is your pets might love it so much they don't want to leave! I highly recommend.

We have been taking our dog to Tollgate Kennels since she was a puppy and she is 6 now. Karen and her staff are brilliant and look after the dogs and cats so well. Our dog always comes home very happy after her stay with lots of walks and cuddles from the staff. I would highly recommend these kennels. A great place to book your fur babies in for their holidays!

We've been using Tollgate kennels for years! Our 3 dogs (congenitally deaf Giant Schnauzer, Shorthaired pointer X & pug) are always really happy & excited to see Karen and her team, which says it all.. They will always try & help with last minute bookings, but they are busy so early booking is advised! The team are completely aware of each dogs individual needs - Karen even hand-fed our schnauzer when she was going through a fussy period (Dog, not Karen!) We just drop our lot off & don't worry about them at all. Thank you, Team-Tollgate xx

Used Tollgate for the first time recently, the first thing that struck me was how spick and span the facilities are, well set up and well organised, spotless.. we had our 2 dogs and cat stay for a few days, I did notice that when we walked to the car having collected them they kept looking back, could only mean they had a great time (they have never done that before)Can't thank the staff enough for looking after them as though they were their own.. thank you all.

Took my three dogs to Tollgate for 5 days, their first time in kennels. Very well organised drop off/collection system which allows for stress free handover. I was anxious as never used kennels before but mine clearly had a good time and were well loved. Would definitely recommend and will use again

Tollgate are just a great place to take your dogs (or 3 dogs in our case) Personal and caring service everytime. Karen amd her staff are very attntive to bith the animals needs and those of the dog owners putting them all at ease during thier stay. Brilliant and highly recomended

UPDATE ON BELOW - It saddens me when people put bad reviews on about Tollgate when they dont get their own way. Over cancellation and money mostly. They are a business, and why should they lose money if your plans change. This in turn takes their star rating down. They are superb, and I should know as I am a very fussy GSD mummy and have used Tollgate now for nearly 3 years very regularly.We have used Tollgate regulary over the last 10 months as we have no family or friends nearby. Wow so glad we found them. Our dog jumps out of the car without a second glance. We have just recently put him in to do a board and train as we had a few issues with his behaviour around other dogs. Karen has been superb with regular updates,and voice messages on his progress, and a fab handover with practical ideas how we should carry on. Karen also is on hand if we need any further advice or help. Recommend for any doggy issues

These have to be the most amazing kennels anyone could wish to use. After reading a previous review on here where a customer stated that he had been treated poorly because he couldn’t have a refund for a late cancellation I felt the need to put pen to paper. Especially as he then casts doubt over the treatment of the dogs in their care, this is appalling.I have never met two more caring individuals who go out of their way to provide amazing care, accommodation and first class service, in spotless clean kennels. My dogs can’t wait to get out of the car when we arrive there. We have used these kennels for many many years & with different dogs, who’s needs have always been individually catered for. We have always found them to be competitively priced and have never had any issues with payments.We use the kennels at least 3 times a year are happy to pay deposits in advance as you would expect to do with any business. In fact on one occasion I overpaid by bank transfer and didn’t realise it until I had a message to say I had done so. Rather than have a refund which was offered, I asked for it to be deducted of the next bill, which was done without any issues.Karen & Ryan are two of the most caring, hardworking, honest people I know who run superb kennels & we have never had issues with payments.
