Part butchers part comic strip! If you want meat or the highest quality pies then look no further. If you're feeling a bit depressed then just call in & if you buy anything or not i guarantee you'll come out happier than you went in! Can't praise these guys high enough, pure excellence.

The staff at Battams always greet you with a smile, they are always happy to help and the quality of the meat is top notch. That with the assurance that all meat is locally sourced I find that for the price, quality and quantity, you just can't beat them. Oh man their pies taste really good too. On the odd lunchtime I sneak one into the shopping list, just don't tell my wife :)Ah yes and they also offer a Vac pack service so your meat lasts longer in the fridge or freezer too... they are just brilliant, I would never go back to a supermarket for me meat again!

Brilliant butchers shop. Traditional cuts of everything you like, along with a great variety of new and trending meats. Pies, pasties, bread. All served with a smile and a great sense of humour....

If you are into cooking this is the best butchers by miles. I buy my meet here for weaning my 6mo and for us. Traditional butcher that can provide anything you need. I travel from llan for this butcher. It is always a pleasure to shop here.

Discovered this gem whilst staying in Oswestry. Meat and bacon all looked really fresh so we took a selection of meats home with us. The bacon with black pepper and treacle tastes so good we had to return a few weeks later for more. All the other meats we purchased were excellent quality. So we will be making regular return visits even though it is an hour trip each way as the customer service and banter is worth making the journey because you have such a laugh with these guys.

Wonderful service, superb meat, lovely bread from Smiths, tasty free-range eggs, & homemade cherry or apple pies - all great value. Absolute gem of Oswestry! I won't go anywhere else for meat now. Sausages also highly recommended.

We were on holiday at Henlle lodges and did some research about butchers before we left and found Battams. Bought some rump steak and sausages and they were so good we made a point of returning before we went home to West Sussex to buy some more! Can highly recommend and customer service first class too. Oswestry locals...you are lucky to have such a gem in your midst.
