Argos Preston in Sainsbury's

Appalling customer service. Looks like it wasn’t just for me from the other reviews. Bought a PS5 online as a present for my wife. Drove 30 minutes to pick it up, only to be asked for ID due to it having an 18+ game with it which is ridiculous as I’m 30 this year and can’t remember the last time I was ID’d in a bar.Told the staff that I didn’t have it on me and that I could show a picture of my ID. Was told that they couldn’t accept that as it could have been tampered with. I wouldn’t have minded as much if there was a bit of empathy, but It was evident that she couldn’t care less.Ridiculously pedantic to the point where I think this particular member of staff enjoys getting off on the power trip of refusing service.I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. Based on my review and others, I’d recommend not using this store if you’re going to order from Argos. I wouldn’t even give them the satisfaction of your business if they can’t be bothered to hire decent staff.

Absolutely disgusting customer service by a so called manager named Odette. She was highly miserable and I was shouted at in front of my little girl who was left traumatised.

After purchasing my 12 year old daughter a set of AirPods from this store for Xmas which turned out to be faulty was bad enough but then for the store to imply that I had put a faulty set back in the charge case that didn’t have the right serial number so they didn’t have to replace them was horrifying but then to explain to them their error after speaking with the manufacturer for an hour and still not to exchange them as left my all experience with them speechless, luckily we have courts to protect us from these types of retailers and credit card companies that assist you!!(Google doesn’t allow me to score 0)!

Shop ok like every Argos, the but very unpleasant lady served us, we wanted to return the purchased item because it did not suit us. The lady who served us looked as if she was doing her job for punishment. Will try not to go there again.

I went to argos at sainsbury's a short while ago this evening. I suffer from severe panic attacks & having tried to use one of the screens to place my order. I just felt overwhelmed. So I joined the queue & was served by a really lovely lady called Jackie. I explained to her that I suffer from panic attacks & that I was trying to purchase a watch for my son's 18th birthday tomorrow. Jackie was so kind, patient & helpful. I gave her the product code & she sorted it out for me. Even bought the item over to me. So I could park my trolley over to one side & wait where I felt more at ease. I just wanted to to say a massive thank you.

Appalling customer service from one of the frontline staff (Elly) in the Preston branch. Wanted to return an item which I bought 2 hours ago, as It wasn’t to my satisfaction. I provided the right documents to return it, however she still didn’t give me a refund and was was very rude about it. Would definitely not recommend the Preston branch !

Made an order with Argos. They told me when to collect. I visited the store as directed and collected the parcel. Perfect and easy. Well done, Argos. Thank you.

Great store, but you need to remember to order online before collecting.

I bought a 96w MacBook adapter and usb c to usb c charging cable separately. I’m not even here to complain about paying well above market value for the items. I’m here to warn people to watch out from being given used/returned/opened products, especially when you’re paying full price.Even Amazon does a better job of this - they sell those products via Amazon Warehouse.I paid £19 for a 2m usb c to usb c cable (Apple) only to be given one with the green pull tab missing. I informed them that this is used and I paid full price for a new one. I was told that its new and that’s how Apple products are packaged.You can imagine my reaction as someone who is deep in the Apple ecosystem.I didnt say a word. I just looked at her. She realised that her attempts of any form waffling would be futile, so she simply said “Let me check if there’s more.”Coincidentally, THERE WAS!!!Definitely an attempt made at scamming me. WATCH OUT. If you are going to shop here, make sure you fully inspect the packaging before leaving. The manager and staff are known to have problems communicating with their customers and between themselves. You’ve been warned.

Won’t be using this Argos again in a hurry. Returned an overpriced unused item to the store due to being of awful quality and was met with nothing but rudeness and attitude from the blonde manager, didn’t catch her name but she was very rude and everything seemed to be too much trouble for her. God knows how she has made it to manager level when she has such terrible people skills. Never had so much attitude from someone in my life. Maybe you should find a career that doesn’t involve interaction with humans.
