YHA Keswick

Recently stayed at YHA Keswick for 3 nights. I am amazed by this youth hostel, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, and were very hard working. The cooked breakfasts tasted great, with decent coffee. Nice bar area to plan the next days walk with two beers on tap and one on cask. Our room was for 3 adults, a bunk and a single, quite small but it's only used for sleeping. The communal toilets and showers were always clean and available. Would 100% stay here again when visiting Keswick.

Great place this. Made better by universally friendly and helpful staff. I stayed for 3 nights. Did a mix of self catering and buying food/breakfast in the cafe. Room was basic but fine. Communal showers and toilet always clean and available. Bike store was safe and dry. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The perfect place for an outdoor weekend. It isn't a spa hotel but it is a lovely place for a gang of friends to go.Don't over do beer / curry as they are dorms and the windows only open a little bit.

Great location. Very close to centre and next to kids play ground. We loved enjoying staying here and the kitchen is modern. The parking is a bit issue , it’s on the road with a disc display 2 hours. Recently, we have got a ticket £50. So, be sure to collect a display from the counter.

We went to the cafe, it was relatively quiet Friday lunch time, which was a good thing as we still waited 30 minutes+ for a ham and cheese toasties.I had the cream tea, there was no fruitless scone's for hubby. My scone didn't taste very nice, maybe overly flourish, just dry and flakey, 1 pat if jam and 1 small part of cream.I'm sure the people are lovely I just didn't appreciate waiting so long for a 5 minutes turn around on food

I've never been disappointed with a YHA. This one is up there with my favorites.Pleasantly surprised with the riverside view from the room. The atmosphere as you walk in on the riverside balcony is absolutely spot on.The lady serving us for breakfast was absolutely phenomenal.Parking is easy enough if you follow instructions on the website, the faff is understandable given its prime location in the middle of the action in keswick

Popped in for our regular breakfast bap, local sausage, bacon and egg with a pot of tea. Plenty of other options. Great location next to the river and park, and the staff very friendly. Ideal for walking into Keswick, and as being a Youth Hostel a great base for a walking holiday.

This place ticks all the boxes. I've stayed here twice now and both times I was impressed with how lovely and welcoming (and knowledgeable) the staff are. The rooms are spotless, kitchen extremely well equipped and the location is fantastic, I love to sleep with the window open so I can hear the river rushing past. Lovely to sit and watch the Kingfisher and heron fishing of an evening from the balcony too. I really can't recommend this place enough, I don't you'd get anything else for a similar price in the area. It makes a great base if you're looking to go walking in the Lakes. Booked in again now for October and November as the prices are hard to resist!! Thank you and see you again soon!

Brilliant stay and great value for money. The hostel and rooms were all really clean. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

We had a room for 3 with an ensuite. The surprise was a balcony overlooking yhe river and park. Absolutely made our stay. Beautiful location. No parking. Street parking can be a bit of a walk, 2 hours available nearby free with a disk (see reception). Lovely bar area at the entrance for a beer or coffee. Great self catering kitchen. Most important of all - super friendly staff at check in - A breath of fresh air!!
