A Boozer, East End style. Not fancy but good fun. A pool table being well used. A selection of keg beers, forget cask ales, not that fancy. This is not a quiet pub, no romantic corners although I have not checked the loos yet, who knows? Simple, honest and in your face. A great pub. A back bar like no other! Love the fridges, why pretend, drink the beer.!

H O S T E L -Looks like something from the film...........VERY DIRTY PLACE. MICE TRAPS IN TOLIET IS NOT A GOOD SIGN. IM CONFUSED WITH COMENTS ABOUT NEWLY DECARATED.I SLEPT IN MY CAR. Much cleaner and safer..

First time there and it was great

Don’t bother going there I was there today this evening 23/2 people outside shouting and arguing had far to much to drink even one of the blokes who was shouting and arguing outside cam in shouting no one done anything about it trouble makers are about avoid at all costs

If you want a drink in Woolwich and a game of pool dome here. A nice selection of beers and ails, and cider available too(my favourite).. I have never waited more than a couple of minutes to be served. Friendly staff. Accessible toilet's. Nice traditional British pub

Amazing good energy and friendly place. Great security makes you feel safe and looked after. Went in the pub for a drink it was kareoke night the whole place cheered and clapped had such a fun night. A great pub and inexpensive warm friendly hostel. 5 stars

Not very busy, not much atmosphere

To whom this may concern above the managerTo be honest it isn’t a bad place just the customer service from the main guy Mo the Manager.He didn’t ensure the check out and it wasn’t stated on the receipt. He said that it wasn’t prohibited to have such information on it and that no other places even the Shard wouldn’t. I showed him a Premier Inn receipt that did and he said that it was an online only receipt.He admitted that he didn’t tell me the time because ‘it’s clearly written on the billboard and Everywhere including online’ and I was accused of knowing the free WiFi password in which I don’t need because of having enough data. I found it slightly belittling almost like a child. He said house keeping was between 11-12pm but in the rooms it’s stated as 10-2pm . I was expecting him to inform me of the check out time especially during house keeping took place. I think I’m right to have such an expectation. I said this information is vital and should not be something you’ve not made clear especially if I’m at risk of the deposit being taken. It’s as important as knowing where the fire exit door is. Small brief information that should not let the customers have to work out for themselves. A billboard isn’t enough, not everyone reads billboards on a motorway. You’re also trained how to drive through a motorway.. The brief information from himself is that equivalent. The receipt is the most set in stone item that should have such information , especially if he openly can not be bothered to state it himself through word of mouth. It’s not good managerial skills, it is lazyHe would not disclose a head office contact as it’s a family business with no tier. I found him abit arrogant for not using discretion when he is mainly to blame , it’s a basic principle . The receipt tells me the time I checked in which was even the wrong time but no check out time, it doesn’t make sense. He couldn’t even be bothered to tap the window during check in and ensure that I read the notice but even so how can you be sure the customer is listening. Not all hotels/hostels have the same check in or out. I just think he could’ve done alittle more especially when I highlight all of this in person to him whilst he shrugged complacentI went to the pub next door and explained everything to the bartender as I thought they were connected then he came downstairs as requested by her and complained to me that I wasn’t wearing a mask and that it was highlighted on all the billboards , honestly neither was the bartender wearing one and at no time at all did she advice me to wear one either so I didnt see the problem . All of this is customer relations and under discretion which I tried to use as an example.

I would have given the extra star however their was a leak in the ceiling.The staff were very friendly, just a shame it looks run down. If they had help, it could look and be so amazing, specially during the summer.
