Great place to visit the surronding area and to walk upto some of the surrounging peaks, ive used this car park many a time to walk up to the peaks for ticking my wainwrights off.

Small car park just off the main road in Rosthwaite. Free if you are National Trust members, a bit pricey otherwise.Loads of fantastic walks around Borrowdale, Derwent Water and over to Watendlath.

Location of the car park is good - great start for many walks. We came there at 9:30 and had plenty of spaces left. 2 stars knocked down as coins only (not even cash) - stopped in the 20th century with card payments a commonplace now.

A small car park so arrive early. Toilets are basic but serviced. A fantastic start point for many hill walks and rambles in upper Borrowdale.

A small car park. We arrived at 9.15am and there were only two spaces left. There are toilets next to the car park.

Busy car park great for walks around Borrowdale, there's toilet facilities on site. It's a pay and display owned by the national trust.

Lucky us, we got the last available parking space and as NT members it was free, a welcome change. Enjoyed our walk to Grange and back
