Wessex Speakers - Toastmasters Club

I found Wessex Speakers on Meetup. I was looking for a Public speaking course and found this great Organisation. Toastmasters has created an environment that is both challenging and stimulating. We know that we don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when things are challenging. I was taken out of my comfort zone and slowly became comfortable with being uncomfortable.I think meeting people with similar interests and goals from different walks of life is very motivating. TM creates a safe environment where you can grow at your pace. You get to try out different roles, practice impromptu speeches, compete in contests, and really develop in different leadership areas.

Don't hesitate to visit!I have been a member of Wessex Speakers for a few years, and I have gone from being extremely nervous at the mere thought of communicating in front of an audience to now feeling confident I am able to present ideas clearly should I desire to do so.I would recommend the club not only to timid speakers, but also to practiced speakers, to hone their skills and expand their capacity in givingconstructive and compassionate feedback and so much more!

This is a great club which I wish I had discovered years ago! A place to practice public speaking without judgement, in a friendly and supportive setting with like-minded people.
