Helpful to passing boaters with water supply etc. Very poor at answering the telephone. Can not believe how many calls I made to get through.

Nice Marina located right next to Limehouse Station (on the DLR between Bank and Canary Wharf). Great starting point for walks and runs either along the canals or along the Thames (towards either Canary Wharf and if you enjoy a long walk to Island Garden and even Greenwich or the opposite direction to St. Katherine's Docks and Tower Bridge).There are nice cafés nearby, Yurt Café (in tents) and Husk (across the street from Limehouse Station) a canoe rental right by the basin (Moo Canoes) and a few minutes walk away the famous pub The Grapes.

Walking along the canal to the basin is a pleasant and peaceful experience. On the whole, it is very clean and treated with respect. I've posted pictures showing plastic rubbish spoiling the habitat where I suppose it's hard to reach and dispose of. The people who littered in the first place should be more caring...

Only a few wall side CRT (24hr) moorings or you can enter the marina and pay. Tomorrow morning we depart through the huge Thames Lock when the tide is ready.

Phone enquiry, I was treated like a 2nd rate person who had no idea what I was taking about. I only asked if they sold diesel for my narrowboat. The reply was very sarcastic and I was even asked ‘ do you know who you have dialled?’ Then was told “In the 8 years I have been here we have never sold diesel “. Why do I need to know how many years he’s worked at Limehouse, and why would he imagine I had dialled the wrong number when he should have answered the phone with the location name. Terrible attitude. I’m not the only one this has happened to.

An island of serenity just a short walk from Canary Wharf. A lovely walk around the marina in the evening, or visit Gordon Ramsay's pub The Narrow" for amazing food and views of the Thames."
