Shieldhall Recycling Centre
I would phone to see if they are open as they shut for servicing more regularly. The main dumping hubs are closed its the tall cages.Van drivers are not allowed one said till the forseable future other said till next year. The dumping cages are dangerous they are too high so you need to throw your rubbish in dont if its too heavy it could cause an injury.Ok for dumping cardboard and clothing, glass bottles. They want you to pay extra ontop of council tax to dump. It looks like they only have limited amount they can take on in 1 day and then close so first come first served looks like.

As ever, a Glasgow City Council service which does NOT seem geared up to serve the public. I wanted to recycle papers. I packed 4,000 pages into boxes. I arrived to discover that the bins for paper refused to receive CARD. What is the damned difference?

Shieldhall Recycling Centre
Very unhappy after my visit. Second visit of the week. Both unacceptable.First visit: No entry barrier, person on duty not even checking cars. 7 out of 9 visitors UNMASKED!Second visit: No entry barrier but apparently today we were to stop. Shouted at by duty person for not stopping and showing postcode proof (never been asked ever before). Very unpleasant.

Went here at lunchtime expecting a big q but there was not. Showed the guy outside on the road my ID to prove I'm Glasgow resident then he asked what we dropping off and told us where to park to drop the stuff. Very pleasant and quick experience. Thanks

Shieldhall Recycling Centre
Closed early and left me in the lurch several times, even after speaking to the guy and he said yes sir last car in 1745..I arrived 1730..The gates were locked, and the guy had already.left..Again new years eve...Open till 1745... He said..I thought ill be good and get in early..1525 arrived on site.. gates locked, no one about.Reliability for services has been extremely poor.
