G.M PLASTERING & LIME RENDERING

Gary has just completed a reasonable sized job (4 rooms) for me.He arrived to assess the job when he said he would, quoted the same evening and started the work on the date agreed. He turned up on time each day and worked in a very tidy and professional manner. The quality of the workmanship was excellent.Gary was also helpful and very generous with his knowledge about aspects of my project he was not working on.I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I count myself and my house very lucky to have had Gary back again to work on our renovation.And I am very happy indeed to recommend him and his superb work.The house is 200 years old and clay lump. I've been a property developer for year's now and when I came across my clay lump property and needed the limestone plastering doing I looked for a plasterer with experience and came across Gary . He's the most professional plasterer I have ever used and I won't be using anyone else to do my plastering again in the future. I contacted him for advice and asked him to come and take a look at what I needed doing. He gave me the best advice and a very good price for the job too, his pricing was spot on and when he did the job the finish was amazing and I'm over the moon with his quality of workmanship. He also worked very closely with me during the lockdown period to keep the job on track and always answered his phone when I contacted him. He is very clean and tidy and never let me down once and is a great guy to get on with too. I will definitely be using him again. Gary did an excellent job of re-rendering a couple of external walls.He was very good at explaining the methods he was using and clearly knows his craft.Although there were some problems which we were unaware of, Gary explained and advised on what needed doing. Nothing was too much for him and we now have a beautifully lime rendered wall instead of a nasty concrete one.Both Gary and Lewis were very pleasant and incredibly tidy at the end of every day.We are likely to need some more work doing in the future and will definitely be asking Gary to do it for us.Thank you so much!

We are really really pleased with the work that Gary has done for us. I would just like to say a massive thank you to Gary for the absolute transformation he achieved at our property. After what can only be described as difficult build due to various reasons Gary has been a complete breath of fresh air. He is knowledgeable and extremely professional and most importantly he genuinely listens and truly cares about providing you with a service/ standard of work that you are happy with. He walked in to a Job well over and above what had been originally discussed and he never once complained he just went about getting things sorted for us and we could not be more pleased with the results. Contractor selection was critical when it came to the lime rendering project for our 200 year + Norfolk property and we definitely made the right choice by appointing Gary to complete the works.We received tenders from 5 other contractors and Gary stood out immediately with his honest, factual and instructive advice.The property had been cement rendered in the 80's which brought its inevitable negative results in such an old property and construction type (solid Norfolk red brick walls & lime mortar) and visually it stood out in the village for all the wrong reasons.After six weeks work (as planned) the transformation is amazing and we now have a property that not only looks fantastic but will be able to breath" and behave as it was designed to do. The Thermalime basecoat will provide the much needed additional insulation while the Fine Lime topcoat has resulted in a superb finish.We entered the project nervously as we didn't know what we were going to find underneath the cement render but everything encountered was discussed and managed effectively by Gary and the Team.As considerate contractors they were exceptional. Engagement with the local residents/neighbours was fantastic sometimes working in/under challenging conditions & locations. From a cleanliness perspective the site was cleaned perfectly each day (especially considering the nature of the works) and the house windows have not been cleaner since we moved in.If you are considering such works on your property definitely engage with G.M Plastering. We are already getting further quotations from Gary to continue the works on the inside of the property (speaks volumes). Highly recommended."

Gary just re-plastered a room for us and we were extremely happy with the results. He had excellent attention to detail, being able to improve the quality of the room while also keeping and incorporating the character of the building. Gary did a brilliant job lime rendering our attic bedrooms last year and so we had no hesitation about asking him to come back to help with our kitchen knock-through recently. Gary again did an amazing job, he works incredibly hard and his workmanship is outstanding. He is very knowledgable and will find a way round quirks of old houses and come up with sympathetic solutions. He will happily take on extra jobs you throw at him, and his costs are very competitive. Despite the nature of his work there is very little mess/dust and he is very careful, with dust sheets throughout and cleaning at the end of each day. He is highly in demand and we feel lucky to have had him involved. Thank you Gary so much!

Gary has been absolutely fantastic, would not hesitate to recommend him. He has been working for about a month lime plastering the top floor of our house and we have been delighted with his work. He is excellent at advising about the best materials, and has a good relationship with the local Conservation Officer. He is transparent about costs and materials and has stuck to his very reasonable quote. He has been really flexible with changes to various details, and has found a way round the inevitable quirks of an old building. He works hard and his finish and attention to detail are excellent.
