Ordered beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice, what I got was a giant lump of frozen beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice. I've had and enjoy raw beef, but frozen is not something I want thank you.

Just had a take away delivered. Probably the worst Chinese I've ever had. Prawn toast is like rubber. Vegetable spring rolls have nothing in them but oil. Prawn Crackers that don't crack and are old. Beef is pure fat and chicken stringy and horrible. The sauces have had no love and barely taste of anything. Disgusting my wife and I threw it all in the bin

Average really. Nice large location. Fairly decent selection of food with good quantity of each, nothing amazing quality wise but nice enough, no complaints so far and eaten few times here in last 6 months. If I could moan about something, I feel the price should be around 10 mark plus extra for drinks. 15 per head I feel is a bit much for standard buffet and a drink. Price was even bumped up further on special occasions like mothers day for no reason really. Bit of a kick for people eaten there regular as nothing extra was offered.

Used to go there but I am glad I stopped over a year ago. There is an article in the Staines Informer July 2002 about them being taken to court and fined over bad HYGIENE!

Cold food and bad hygiene. Was nice when FIRST OPENED! Hygiene has slipped dramatically. Owners even taken to CROWN COURT because kitchen was SOOO bad and insects were enjoying same as customers!

News in local paper is that Shanghai Village has been fined £25,000 for hygiene offences. I have only had average experiences. Food is what is expected of this type of establishment. Service is poor.

Definitely one of the best Chinese all-you-can-eat experiences, taking into account the slightly lower expectations of food that you should have of a buffet against a traditional restaurant. Excellent selection of dishes and desserts, including Peking Duck! Service came very much with a smile. You can expect to arrive hungry and leave satisfied.

My experience was really awful..terrible food..When I went there,the time was about to close so they offered me that they will give me discount but it was like nothing as they charged £5.99 for 2 glass coke (OMG).I will not recommend to anyone for this restaurant even not if it is free to eat.
