P&O Ferries Rotterdam

Such an easy way to travel to Holland from northern England. Put your feet up, have dinner in the brassiere, go to sleep and the next thing you know you’re in Rotterdam. We traveled with our two spaniels in a dog friendly cabin which was really nice and it was so easy compared to the Chunnel without all the pet centre faff. Everyone was so nice, friendly and very helpful. If you are travelling with your side kick try and book as early as possible as there are only a few dog friendly cabins. 10 out of 10! We will definitely be doing this again

Easy experience with P&O. We got to passport control 15mins before closing. Small queue. Then straight onto the ferry and straight to our room. Ferry left on time. And arrived on time. Duty free is good value. Food and drinks not the cheapest but you have no choive. Wifi only in common areas as well.

We were very well looked after. It has everything you need for an overnight sailing. We recommend the pride of Hull suite!

When travelling to the north of the UK, taking the ferry is a nice alternative to flying. Leaving in the evening let’s you marvel at the industrial plants in the harbour and the mastodon sea ships. On board there is enough entertainment not to get bored. Sleeping in a cabin is unique and before you know it you’ll dock in the early morning

Hull to Rotterdam is a fantastic service. Easy loading and offloading with no major hassle. Both ports are efficient and there is no real wait. Great onboard facilities especially a decent meal, clean cabin and great live music in the Sky Lounge bar. Recommended.

Lovely experience, more relaxing than flying. Lots to do on the boat and cabins very comfortable. Time to shower and have breakfast before disembarking and met at port by P&O coach and shuttled straight into the city

This is an interesting one. If you are traveling without a dog or without an ill dog it is superb.However our dog became very very sick on the boat, in the room (which is way to small for a large old dog) and in the dog area outside. I absolutely needed help but help was three decks up and your not allowed to leave animals unattended in the dog area. Couldn't leave dog in room as the vomit was all over the floor. I was trying to clean everything up inside and out with no towels or anyone to ask for help.Eventually at 01:40 another guest came on deck and saw what was happening, he then helped me to summon help.However I couldn't put my dog in kennels because they were to slippy for an old dog.I would never expect a service for My dog, however they state dog friendly and I paid for the upgrade to a dog friendly room as my dog is old ( but well, had her checked 24 hours before traveling). I would strongly suggest they put a Camera or help button outside. I have asked P&O to contact me but as yet have heard nothing!

Large car ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. Good facilities on board if a little dated now. Good service and efficient staff. Ships have restaurants, entertainment, cinemas, bars, duty free etc. The main downside is the very high cost of the tickets. Both the Hull and Rotterdam sides could use better sign posting.
