Enterprise Car & Van Hire - York City Centre

Everything was going well till I returned my borrowed car. And they found a crack on the car number plate holder. Of which I was blamed and had to pay for. I have proof from my photos of the car, it was already cracked. Still waiting to hear from York branch if the claim will be cancelled as it has come of my own insurance and if the excess will be refunded.Had one of Enterprises cars in York was blamed mefor damages to car got charged £80. They have confirmed that it wasn't my fault still waiting for refund.Then had 8 parking ticket letters sent to me they took £280 out of my bank a/c in admin fees (disgusting). The parking tickets were sent in error as the car park I was parked in was were I work. They have said they will refund as soon as they have proof of the tickets been cancelled. They have been cancelled but car parking company are ignoring my emails and nobody answers the phone (so how do I prove they have been cancelled

I hired my car due to my insurance writing my car off after an accident. I ended up having 3 cars as 2 of them that had faults. Both MGs. The staff were very good though at resolving the issues

Could not have been more helpful and considerate. Jonathan was especially patient in explaining the car and giving us help with driving in England. The car was equipped with navigation and super comfortable. We would absolutely rent from this agency again. Easy location just past the National Railway Museum.

Holly at Enterprise situated upon Leeman Road York went over and above to assist me during my time visiting the UK. Having incurred multiple road blocks since arriving from Australia, difficulties concerning the application of Travel Mastercards for instance and the inability to secure bookings online given, not presently having access to a local mobile / landline number Holly delivered a customer service standard that far surpassed my expectations.The branch was extremely busy however, all staff were working hard to facilitate those present.Holly managed to secure me a last minute vehicle of the required spec and as such afforded me the opportunity to visit various family members prior to my departure returning the hire vehicle to Manchester Airport.Thank you so much again Holly you were an absolute delight. Next time I return home I'll definitely be returning.Rachel

Great car rental place in York, which is also pretty good value.My man Jack working here was very helpful to me and my wife renting a car for a day, even offering to drive us to the station at the end of our rental.Only thing I would change is that enterprise generally (not just this branch) seem to ask far more questions and require a lot more time from you at check in that other companies - which can be annoying when you just want to get the car and go.

Great service and nice car! I’m glad to see that Enterprise service in the UK is excellent like in the US! I don’t remember the name of the guy who checked me in - super sweet ginger guy - but Jonathan is the guy who checked us out and he was very kind as well and gave us a ride to the train station, even though it would have been only a 10 minute walk. 5 star service, will definitely come again if I ever return to York! US drivers beware, though: manual transmissions are the standard in the UK! Make sure you reserve an automatic ahead of time or else they might be out!

Walking distance from York train station and good rates. Friendly staff. No after hours pick up is available so double check when you expect to arrive. I took a train from London to York and had to overnight at a hotel before picking up the car the next day. However I was expecting a Ford Focus or equivalent and received a free upgrade to a Mercedes A180 compact, which was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent customer service!I mainly dealt with Holly - who was outstanding in her service and communication with me. She went out of her way to assist me when there was a train strike and I was trying to get back to York.Also dealt with Tom (I think) who drove me back to Sandhutton- extremely pleasant and friendly.I'm so impressed by the service I received from this company. Well done guys!
