I had really bad experience in this center . The staff don’t want to help in siting for exam . She was happy she found a mistake in my ID .I nicely explained the staff member and the person other side of the phone so called help line , they don’t have any solution for your problem . They just sit there and say ohh we sorry .As candidate you LIFE in UK people have authority on our information,but they not wana resolve the issue just pass you half information .Just for comparison I had my English test in London last week , I had same issue there the staff was very help full at least tell me the solution what to do . But PSI Portsmouth staff was happy they found mistake in registration and now we not alow the people to sit in exam . Not recommend any one to book test in this center .

It was ok. People were helpful, did their jobs well. Place seemed clean.

I have been to the place twice. On the 1st occasion, they canceled my test due to the internet issue (after waited for 1 hour). 2nd time they rejected me because my patronymic was missing from the application. I have explained it to the person patronymic is not even my middle name. Since patronymic is not british custom and they dont have that in their application system that made it possible to include that in my name. It's not my name, not my middle name, not even surname. That just show how ignorance the staff was since that wouldn't cause a problem on the other test center. Plus, they should have verified my ID the moment that I arrive NOT AFTER 40 mins waiting. I have to rebook the test (again) and of course they will not refund the money. So on the third time I went to different test centre in London. They checked my ID the moment I walked into the building. Everything went smoothly. Waiting time was really short. It only took me 30mins for the whole process. In fact they are busier than Portsmouth! I spoke with a lady that I met there. She said her friend warned her to not to come to Portsmouth test center since they sent her home due to technical issue and the 2nd time same thing happened, the test center still with technical issue. They should shut down the test center in Portsmouth. They are INCOMPETENTS! Wasting people time and money!!!

Overall experience was OK. The place appears a bit run down, but staff were friendly and things in OK working order. Security checks were tight and I witnessed one lady turned away, who didn't have the ID on her that was used for booking. When I was checked I was surprised about the request to take of my sweat shirt as apparently in the testing room only 'one layer' is allowed. T-shirt only in December felt a bit chilly; I would have picked a different outfit had I known. On road parking in some of the side roads, also on the nearby seafront.

Friendly staffs. Clear instructions in terms of the measures for Covid-19.There are lockers for storage. There are free on street parking near to the roundabout. Like other describes, cleaning materials are provided; there's a screening check to avoid cheating. Appreciated that the staff asked me to wash my hand at the toilet when first arrive.
