Generally you can rely on a Wetherspoons. Nothing fancy but great value, well cooked food but if you can't get bangers & mash right there's something wrong. Lumpy mash, thick sticky gravy even more lumpy than the mash & poor tasting bangers & who decided to serve it in a pudding bowl?

My husband and I moved to Huddersfield in September 2022...At that time, we did not rate Wetherspoons and on the occasions we went in, preferred other Wetherspoon branches..HOWEVERThat has now changed and we have become regulars who go in there to eat, largely because of how good things have become under the management of George and his team. I believe I am right in saying George is the General Manager.George is exceptionally customer focused, has a fantastic attitude and has really turned things around. The food is always delicious and we know it will go from strength to strength!In terms of star rating, George himself gets a clear 5 out of 5!As a mature student (in my 40s), my husband and I have to carve out time for togetherness. Going there means I can work, study and have a change of environment and we know we will get good value for money.Thank you so much!

I love popping in for a quiet pint and a bite to eat when I’m in town, nice customers that keep to themselves and lovely bar staff that go above and beyond to help you with a smile on their face :)

I had the 5 bean chilli jacket potato with a side of roasted vegetables and a very good ale for £9.30. No problem to try before I bought from the helpful Shannon.Clean throughout the restaurant.Try the Chinook ale.

This Wetherspoons felt a little less clean than other I have visited. Unfortunately I fell I’ll shortly after visiting here and couldn’t finish my meal due to feeling unwell. The service and prices however are just as good as any Wetherspoon.

We were visiting from overseas and needed to hang around dor a few hours until our taxi to airport. The manager was very helpful, and after explaining our situation he advised us that there were charging points for our phones should we need them. We had unlimited tea and coffee and the food was very nice.Service was excellent and all staff were very friendly.
