Deep Impressions, Art studio Plymouth

I have been to this beautifully laid out gallery with my husband and although we had only popped in to have a look around, we were so impressed with the work on display that we bought a stunning original art work of seahorses, which we now have in our dinning room. The artists are very welcoming and you are able to watch them working on there next creation. which is fascinating.

Always loved Kim and Kay's art and it's great they've finally got a public space to display it permanently, I hadn't seen a lot of their new works but to see them altogether makes them even more impressive.Any review of Deep Impressions cannot go without a mention of Dryad Surfboards in the same unit, where you can watch David making his impressive hand-made wooden surfboards which are equally impressive.

I have bought at least half a dozen of Kim and Kays paintings. Their web site has shown me what paintings they have for sale and I have then visited their studio which is great. They are both such talented artists and their prints and original paintings give a wonderful flavour of the sea and all the creatures that live in it

We have 3 amazing original paintings, all shark related. I love them more everyday! Kim and Kay have such a fantastic eye for composition and colour. Looking forward to calling back to the studio soon.

This art studio is very well worth a visit. If you need a different gift for a birthday or a wedding or as a momento to remind you of your holiday, you can find superb original paintings and prints of originals by two very talented artists. Mother and daughter produce wonderful abstract art if you want movement in your picture, or more intricate and very accurate underwater scenes. Their work comes from personal experience of the waters around a number of countries. There must be something for everyone here.As well you can find excellent surf boards which I think are fit for display in any home with a wall large enough for one. A framing service is part of the studio as well to personalise what you buy. Excellent!

Wow Deep Impressions are amazing! I’ve recently learnt to dive and can’t believe how true to life their paintings are. The attention to detail is astounding. Kim and Kay also paint more abstract art but with a marine theme - all their work can be viewed in their gallery as seen on a recent visit. Really interesting to see the artists at work along with a huge range of their work on display, both prints and originals. We recently bought two paintings which look great and I also have ‘The Wall’. Love them!Within the gallery is a great framer who will discuss your ideas and help you decide on which frame you’d like to compliment any artwork.The lovely thing about visiting this gallery is there’s no pressure to buy - Kim is extremely happy sharing her work with you - we felt very comfortable walking in. A must visit especially as it’s in such a lovely place by the sea with a coffee shop nearby!

Kim and Kay have a real knack for bringing the underwater world to life. I particularly like their new, more abstract impressions which show a great sense of movement. We love our ‘Free diver’ print! The quality of the print is excellent! Keep painting, girls!

Love this Art studio, the sea life theme and meeting the two artists, made even more special when I learnt that they were Mother and Daughter. Paintings and prints are sensibly priced and well framed ( good framing facility within the gallery). I couldn't resist buying two paintings. I'm delighted that I did - they look great in my home. In summary, well worth a visit to this Gallery - with the added benefit of good walks and cafe nearby.

Fabulous pictures, we have bought 3 full size pictures including one original and lots of greeting cards containing their images. The art work is tremendous and such lovely people too. We always pop in to see the studio when in town and wish we had more wall space for more of their lovely pictures. Very good value too.

Kim and Kay are exceptionally talented artists, and in their genre of underwater art they are second to none. Their detailed paintings need to be seen to be fully appreciated, with anatomically perfect marine fauna and wonderful seascapes. If you love the marine environment their galleries are a must see.
