I needed to sell all my vinyls and alot of CDs. Phoned and spoke to Malcolm who came over the same day and was polite and thoroughly decent. He had a rough look through and asked me how much I was thinking. I had no idea and gave him a price and he straight away offered me much more. Such an honest man and even came back to me a week later and gave me some more money as he had a chance to check through for quality.. Thank you Malcolm, your decency is amazing

Went to this record shop on Record Store Day 2013. I walked in with my 7 year old son and was just browsing through what they had on offer when two guys behind the counter did nothing but moan and complain about the phone ringing and people who were visiting their shop on that day. I live an Hours drive away from this shop and visited for record store day so it was a special trip not an everyday purchase.I felt the guys who work there moaning and groaning so everybody in the shop could hear about the customers on what should be their busiest day of the year was rude and I will never be returning.I use Out Of Time records all the time in Ipswich as they are happy for custom and always have a great selection.I'm never going back here...

Second time visiting, found some great records at surprisingly low prices! Had a nice chat with the owner about records and other record shops in Essex. Look forward to my next visit.

Excellent customer service I have sent Malcolm a few e-mails about record store day exclusive vinyls. He e mails straight away giving price and quantities in stock. Would highly recommend this independent vinyl store. Went to the store today they have a good selection of vinyl at very reasonable prices will definitely come back to the store for a better browse as today was busy for RSD

Great shop with a nice atmosphere. Cosy but not cramped with friendly helpful staff. Great selection of vinyl records both new and used, which change every week and just mentioning a record gets picked up by the guy and next time your in its there! Prices are very competitive and can be less than internet pricing , I would rather buy at a local shop regardless but this is an added bonus I'f you can save a few £££. Will also trade in unwanted records as well if you wish.

Moved down in 2003 to Clacton, been going in there for years on and off. Still got the same owners, always let on to you and ask if you need help and got a really good broad selection considering the next best thing is HMV 20 miles away. Friendly service, products always in prestige condition and itching to go in there soon. Please be open Boxing Day, will be going past to check haha

Went there last week as was stopping at Clacton for a weeks holiday. Nice shop, decent range of vinyl some used were £3 and £1. More expensive used vinyl was also in with the new vinyl which is a bit odd. Also has CDs and music t shirts. Most of the new vinyl seemed to be £10-£15 which is really good value.

Great independent record shop. Friendly staff. Loads of choice some rare stuff too. Always enjoy a visit
