Had your car mot here ? Passed with no advisories !!So now you feel it must be safe, think again !!!! Mine Passed with a clean bill of health, brake failure in less than 5 miles causing £5000 worth of damage and halfords think offering 50% of my costs are acceptable. Probably the most expensive mot ever.Just a quick update as Halfords response made it seem they cared.When I told them I wasn't in a financial position to find 50% of the repair cost and asked them to reconsider their offer the reply I got was that I had refused the offer and they were now withdrawing it and giving me nothing. Now having to explore legal action which I guess Halfords thought i couldn't do because of my financial position.HALFORDS your a class act.... NOT !!Not that this is directly relevant to my review but it gives some insight as too integrity.one of the 5 star reviews left here is actually from Halford Area Manager.. maybe true but is it unbiased ? I leave it for readers to decide.

Great service from the members in the office, Extremely friendly and a very warm welcome on arrival. Even though they were busy they still took the time to ensure i was satisfied with the service. They are an asset to your business.

Shocking - zero initiative - zero common sense - zero empathy - avoid.Having booked my car for the MOT due to my usual garage being booked up, I was hopeful it might be complete within the one hour estimate stated on the website. After two hours I received a call to say that it had failed due to low tread on one front tyre. Seemingly easily resolved, I asked when it would be ready and was shocked to hear it wouldn't be for two days as they needed to order a tyre in as they don't stock any.Quite inconvenient not living in Folkestone and having commitments for the rest of the week. I asked if the garage over the road might have a suitable tyre - they didn't know and they hadn't checked and didn't even offer it as a suggestion when I told them I really needed the car back that day. So I did, I walked 20 meters over the road and paid for a tyre which was promptly fitted. The worst part: the garage across the street is owned by Halfords. The staff would have gleefully cost me a taxi home and back and quite a bit of income.The only redeeming thing was being close enough to walk along the seafront, although after four hours I'd had enough of that.

Very helpful and friendly - manager seems to be doing a great job. MOT completed in 40 mins with no advisories or problems.

I booked my car in for an MOT. The customer service was excellent and everything was explained for me, prices quoted and the work carried out for me. Andy and Jody were so professional, communicative, reassuring and friendly. Thank you ☺️

i has major servise in halford Folkestone on 19/04. they finished it in 40 minutes. I doubted their work. I complained at the store. and I checked again today, they didn't replace the pollen filter and brake fluid. female receptionist is not friendly, lying to customers

Absolute SCAM artists! I stopped at the garage a day before to discuss a fault on my vehicle; I already knew the fault having run diagnostic elsewhere, but I was told that they needed to run the diagnostic regardless for their own records. This I was fine with. Having shown them the fault, they advised they had just repaired the exact same issue and even showed me the invoice for that work. I then take my vehicle to them, they run the diagnostic, and to my sheer disbelief, they then tell me that they can't make the repair. They fully charge me for a service to tell me the fault I already knew I had and then do not repair it. They are an absolute shambles and a disgrace. I could not be more furious with a garage. ABSOLUTE THIEVES!!

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!My 19 Yr old daughter took her car in for a service, tyres, tracking and MOT. They tried charging her an extra £737 (shock absorbers and mounts). They started stripping the car down which panicked her into paying the extra. Thankfully, she wasn't able to get more credit. When she arrived to collect the car she was told they had lost a wheel nut so she was left waiting until the new one arrived. Whilst driving home the car was making such a terrible sound she had to pull over and call out the AA recovery, who said the exhaust had been tampered with and would need to be fixed. We took the car to Ashford MOT centre the next day where they passed it without issue.Horrendous people trying to take advantage of the naive!I have written to head office but had no response.

Came for an MOT.. and it failed on a few things but they couldn't tell me what was wrong with the actual car just that it had failed due to a braking issue.and the seat belt had caught in the back seat when I put it back up after having it down. So instead of just putting the seat down to unjam the seatbelt so they could plug it in, they failed me on that as well.Was not happy. Cancelled my membership. Will not be going back.

This is a lovely place to be to get your new bicycles.The staff is cool. The only challenge is to try to eat and drink moderately cos no toilet in there except you use the nearby restaurants.Get your bicycle from Halfords.The picture is my new bicycle.The picture shown was taken in my house.
