After three failed attempts of Indian night, we came over to Liverpool side to find proper Indian food and we have succeeded!My Handi Gosht Lamb was beautifully done, tender cooked lamb chunks and a very hearty creamy curry sauce. Spice was spot on.My partner ordered the special biriyani which came out as a Pieriyani which is very very creative ha ha ! And tasted so good ! There were a good amount of meat mixed in and The flaky roti canai type of bread cover on top is delicious ! Making the dish look like a pie!Do recommend Al roomis. We will be back !

Weird one this is, but very goodGood food, large portions, no decor to speak of. Inexpensive. I was the only customer there on the evening I visited, even though adjacent eateries were full. But the service was friendly and the food excellent

Great customer service, friendly staff and extra poppadoms and chutneys plus free drinks. Had the chana masala, karahi chicken and masala chips. Rice was also to die for.

Really delicious food and very welcoming, friendly service. The Paneer Makhani is particularly good and the portion sizes are generous. Dates and water given for Ramadan Iftar which is very thoughtful. Will be going back.

I might be wrong but i went there after reading someones review that the chef from Rumis on mount pleasant which is closed now is same here at Al roomis which got me excited because rumis was one of my favorite Indian restaurants in town.However i was quite disappointed as the food didnt taste as authentic was it used to be. The biriyani was bland and their way of doing mild and hot is just adding more green chillies on top.The naan didnt seem to be freshly madeThe curry was very “supermarkety” having very sweet undertone to it not authentic at all even when we didnt order anything of the sweet curries.The only good thing was the mango lassi and the kachori chat was still passableIt is my personal opinion could vary people to people. May be i have hit many good and authentic Indian restaurants over a year or 2 while rumis was closed in manchester, birmingham etc and my palate has evolved from the mediocre indian restaurants here in liverpool
