Hammond Academy of Performing Arts

Suzanne is a fantastic teacher with a lot of patience. She choreographed our wedding first dance and tailored it to suit us. We were nervous at first but she soon put us at ease. We loved our lessons each week and had so much fun.

Miss Hammond is a talented, nurturing dance teacher. She is really committed to all her students. I definitely recommend coming here. It is excellent value for money and a lovely family feel.

Miss Hammond is the best dance teacher we could have asked for! Our daughter can be quite shy and nervous but Miss Hammond isn’t fazed by anything and soon had our daughter settled in and loving dance. Every week she’s learning new skills and growing in confidence and spends loads of time at home now creating her own dances using what she’s learnt. The academy regularly put on shows to showcase what the kids have learnt and I never believed our daughter would feel brave enough to do this... I was wrong! Miss Hammond and her team are miracle workers and I felt so proud when I saw my daughter loving being on stage performing for the crowd. The academy has a lovely family feel with all the kids and parents being friendly and welcoming and Miss Hammond and her team regularly put on parties and other events for the kids. I couldn’t recommend Miss Hammond and her academy any higher and feel it is excellent value for money. Thank you HAPA! ❤️

Amazing school!!!!!My little boy wasn’t so confident until he started Friday street class after making so many friends you could see the change in his personality, he became more out going and has even got the courage to stand up and sing In the Wednesday singing classes.Hammond Academy is such a friendly environment and wouldn’t dream of taking Riley anywhere else.He just loves it so much.

Suzanne was brilliant to reach us our first dance. From her patience to the expert dance routine. We had great time on our journey from matt having no dance experience to now wanting to continue to dance. Definitely recommendGeorgina and Matt

A wonderful place to learn to dance for all ages and abilities. Lessons are fun and Suzanne is a wonderful teacher. I take adult tap classes and it’s my favourite hour of the week! Great for fitness and a chance to meet some great people. Would highly recommend.

My daughter attends the Hammond Academy, she is 4 years old but started when she was 3.The hammond academy has become an integral part of her week building her confidence amongst other things.I am certainly grateful to everyone at The Hammond Academy and recommend it wholeheartedly to all that are curious about dipping their toe into the wonderful community that is the performing arts.The Hammond Academy is an amazing group to be associated with. Suzanne choreographed our wedding dance for us. She was so friendly and skilled. She asked us exactly what we wanted and designed it to that. We were so grateful and genuinely looked forward to our lessons. We’re eagerly awaiting our wedding video (16 weeks!!) but can’t wait to share this with her when it arrives.

My daughter Kayleigh really enjoys dancing at Hammond academy. They are a lovely bunch of people and very friendly environment. They have really encouraged Kayleigh and brought out the best in her with her dancing. She’s come on leaps and bounds since she started and can’t wait to rejoin the group when lockdown is over.
