Accessible. Little known. If you want to climb a tor and you like steps and handrails this is for you. Just off the edge of the main moor but glorious views 360⁰

Limited parking. Steep stairs to reach top of rock but awesome 360 view once climed. Don't drive there in a lowered car though!

Some great, if windy, views. It's a fairly simple climb those a little slippery here and there. Steps certainly help!

I got a Tick on my trousers walking around here, on the path everyone uses to go around the rock from the small gravel car park to the stairs on the rock, it was a damp foggy day, perfect tick weather, probably not a problem in burning sunshine as the area was fairly open, and not that overgrown, just a warning, funnily enough the usually tick magnet dog who was running around everywhere didn't get any ticks on her. Quite the impressive rock though, definitely worth a look

Beautiful place to visit. Off the beaten track and so not recommended for large vehicles. Very steep steps to the top but a stunning view.

What a lovely find. A short walk from the road and you can climb the steps and survey the surrounding countryside. See over to Dartmoor on a sunny day. Unspolit views but be careful on the way down.

Blackingstone rock is a bit of a hidden gem. If you know your way around the back lanes past hennock, and up to the reservoirs then beyond. You can find this little moor" treat . Use a maps app perhaps. Parking practically non existent but what a view. By the way it's pretty much always windy up there. That view tho"

A remote location with long winding roads to access. The staircase is probably unique and is very steep but does enable most to be able to reach the top for great views across Dartmoor. Worth the effort.
