Poor event. Way too many crowds and very mediocre food which was not authentic. Gyozas cooked by 3 lads from Yorkshire and were completely tasteless, nothing like real gyozas. Paella from another stand was also disgusting. Many stalls had a five star" hygiene label attached to their stand

Quite disappointed tbh. Quite busy. Not the widest range of food stalls. Some random stalls selling shoes or blankets or perfume etc. I was expecting street food stands from every corner of the globe and local producers to be promoting the best that Cheshire has to offer.

Fantastic event - the Chester Food & Drink Festival. About to visit for the third time this Easter. Great food and cookery demonstrations.

Did Thursday to Monday camping on the site for the camperfest and the food and drink... Not enough toilets on the camping side.. no running water and most of the toilets what were on offer were blocked! No toilet paper either..not bothering again..one of the bars on site wanted £7 pound a pint for madri! Good thing I took my own drink and food. The white horse pub wouldn't take my cash said I needed to order at the table outside download the app!So again glad I used my own drink and food..if this is how things are going then I hope they shut down!

This was really a very poor event, I resented everyone of the 40 minutes that I spent there. The stalls in general were pretty average, the chefs more interested in self promotion (yes, I’m talking about you John Torrode), prices highand the site layout was cramped into one corner of the site. The walkways were too narrow, so that if someone did want to look at a particular stall everyone else had to wait until they could force a way around them - obviously the site is very restrictive with limited space available for exhibitors…In my experience it is rare to find something that makes the NEC look good…

Have done Thursday to Monday camping on the site since the festival started for the camperfest and the food and drink... Plenty of toilets on the camping side.. good running water and most of the toilets on offer were not blocked, had toilet paper and good hot showers available. I read that one of the bars on site wanted £7 pound a pint for madri, but there were plenty of other excellent and well priced options so I didn't have to use my own drink and food. The white horse pub is excellent and although I hear it wouldn't take cash, the app and service was really good! So again I didn't have to use my own drink and food..if this is how things are going then I can't wait to keep attending and anyone that says it should be shut down, really should think on about local businesses and all of the people that love the festival and attend every year - it's excellent family value and we love it. Horses for courses :D
