On my recent visit to to purchase some meat and authentic Pakistani Basmati rice, I was pleased and also reassured to learn that the shop had recently been awarded a five star food and hygiene rating by Cardiff city council.This really was not a surprise to me as often on the visits, you will find one of the workers attending work areas with disinfectant spray, cleaning also around the fridges and public waiting area.On your next visit, don’t forget to check out the ready-made frozen chicken burgers and lots more, a particular favourite with the children.

I’ve been a customer of PB for over 15 years. I have always found the meat to be fresh, the pricing competitive and the staff very pleasant. Occasionally I call ahead with my order and they are only too happy to have it ready for me when I arrive. It’s great to be able to access a reliable, local butcher.
