One member of staff has a real attitude problem. She was unnecessarily rude and clearly doesn't want to be there. Work on your customer service skills. It pays to be polite.

Worst excuse of a bakery, cooking area visibly stained and dirty, staff don't understand how queues work and will serve in any order despite how long youve waited plus you have to order 5 times cause they are constantly out of stock, almost as if the menu is chalk and they can just rub out sold out items to save the confusion

Great bread, shame about the staff. Been there on more than one occasion and treated badly. I’m not one to use the race card, but that’s the only difference between me and the other customers in the queue that are spoken to in a better manner. Narrow minded Old Coulsdon strikes again!

This bakery is the best I've found in 30 years, very very good food! Many fond memories of going in as a young boy and being greated by happy, enthusiastic and wonderful staff. I'd personally recommend the jam doughnuts and cannot wait for the Christmas cranburry turkey pastys to be available! They are so good they leave you with a craving for more all year round! Keep the yummy food coming guys and girls! Thank you!

A very old fashioned bakery, food is ok not great and the staff could definitely use a lesson in manners as they generally come across as quite rude.

I used to use this bakery for 11 years and it was lovely, but three years ago I moved away and the other day I was passing and popped in, Staff were as friendly as ever and I purchased an apple doughnut and an apple turn over, the contents when I got home were very unimpressive. Is there an apple shortage now!!!!

I have gone here since i was a kid (must be over 15+ years) and it never disappoints me, my family, or my friends. I always rave about it, and honestly, I don't like any other bakers (also a saussage roll really helps with the hangovers)

I visited this bakery on two separate occasions, hoping for a better experience the second time around, but unfortunately, my expectations were not met. While the staff appeared friendly, the service lacked organisation as they didn't follow the queue, leading to confusion and frustration. Moreover, the main issue was with the quality of the food. On both visits, I found that the items I ordered were excessively sweet and disappointingly undercooked. It's disheartening when a bakery fails to deliver on the basic expectations of taste and preparation.Regrettably, based on my experiences, I cannot in good conscience recommend this bakery to anyone. I believe that consistent quality and attentive service are essential in such establishments, and my encounters here fell short on both counts.

Like a living museum bakery from the 1970’s, quality more or less what you get from a supermarket bakery. Shame they don’t introduce any premium/craft bread or patisserie.
